I had the coil removed beginning of October and started taking the pill at the beginning of November. I never had a period in between this stage and can't remember the last one I had as never had them with the coil.
I had unprotected sex with my partner at the end of October and this past week have had very very sore boobs, I can see blue vein on them and they feel very heavy. Also my bellys felt strange, pinpricks in places and generally a bit odd. I've also felt sicky at times the past two days and am going to thettoilet more.
Although I've just took a pregnancy test and its come back negative. Could it be to early to tell? I thought if I was having symptoms like this then surely you should be able to by now? Or can the pill give the symptoms of very sore boobs (they haven't been this sore since my pregnancy with my daughter)
Any advice greatly appreciated! Its frustrating me as I feel pregnant but the test says not and haven't a clue when to expect my period!

What you describe sounds like pregnancy. Can you try and think when your period was and if not then how heavy and long are they usually then what was the last one like? Sometime switching to the pill can cause these things. Tests usually aren't effective until the 3 to 4 week mark or around when your period should start. Also you should def wait because the pill could be messing up the test. Just take care of yourself. If it wouldn't be to much trouble could you answer my question too please. Thank you and hope everything turns out for the best!

Sore boobs isn't a sign of pregnancy. At this point, feeling sick and strange in the belly isn't a sign of early pregnancy.
What you're probably feeling is the effects of the pill. Is this the variety of pill that gives you a monthly period?
Usually you should wait 2 weeks after your last missed period, but given you haven't had regular periods in some times, I would gather that you would not know when that is. If you don't get your period at the end of your birth control cycle, wait 2 weeks and try to test.

That is sounding like last first trimester pregnancy, not two weeks fertilized. Chances are the embryo, if it is there, has just implanted. There hasn't been enough time for the body to start making the changes that would come with a pregnancy.
As well the mode of action of most birth control pills is to convince the body it is pregnant and doesn't need to release an egg. So you get some effects from that hormone on your system.

I haven't had a period since probably the beginning of the year as the coil stopped them. And yes it's the pill that gives you a monthly period. I'm just almost at the end of my first packet so yes I shall wait to see if my period arrives! I've heard the pill can give pregnancy symptoms but was on it years ago and never suffered with any. I understand the body changes though so it could be different this time.
Thank for your replys. Hopefully I'll find out I am or expect the time of the month anytime soon (would be happy with either right now!) I'll follow your advice and wait a couple of weeks to retest if necessary.

If you had sex at the end of October, then it is too early for symptoms to manifest themselves. So whatever you are feeling is not due to pregnancy. Hence the negative test results.
