Our company contracted out to work for this pipeline. We have been finished there for almost a month. Started and was there 45 days and we haven't got paid the company says we got to wait till they get paid by pipeline company before they will pay us.how long can they refuse to pay us in Louisiana .we working for our company not the pipeline

You might want to contact the Louisiana Workforce Commission (http://www.laworks.net/)to see what they can do about it. Some states have laws requiring prompt payment of wages, but I don't see any such statute here (http://www.legis.state.la.us/lss/lss.asp?folder=97).

If I understand this, you are a company who did subcontracting work for another subcontractor. So I don't think wages are an issue here.
Did you have a written contract? If so, what were the payment terms listed in this contract. If not, it may be reasonable to wait 90 days for payment.
If you are employees working for the subcontractor and haven't been paid wages, that is another matter. Wages have to be paid on specific schedule.

I think they are an employee of a sub contractor, and payment of wages is due on the contract date if you have a contract. Of if there are regular pay days, they have to pay you on pay dates.
If you are employee they have to pay you, even if the company that they are contracted with does not pay them.
