I worked 16+ years with a company that closed, my last day with this company was in April 2012, I currently work full time but the money is not enough to support my family so my question is: if I accept a position as a seasonal worker and get laid off will I be eligible for unemployment? I live in Ohio.

I'm assuming you mean in addition to your full time job. If so, then no you won't get unemployment.

My guess is OP is thinking about quitting the present job, and going to work at the seasonal job, in the expectation of being laid off the seasonal job at the end of the season. Clever scam. Might work because there probably is no mechanism in place to guard against it.

But in general UI only pays part of what you make when you are working. So if you aren't making it now, you would be in even worse shape drawing UI.
