How do you unplug the electrical connector from an O2 sensor on a 1997 civic DX? Not sure how the clip disengages from the mating connector.

Yes, they are a little tricky and unconventional. Carefully, squeeze the release on the bottom and remove the connector from the metal bracket or mount. You may want to get a small flashlight to help you see the release. Then, squeeze the top release and the connector will separate.
