I would like to replace the tile on the surround of my bathtub. The floor tile however was not set under the surround wall tile. Is it possible to replace the surround tile without damaging or replacing the floor tile around it?

It would appear that the floor tile was added later. There is no cove base? Wall tile is fairly soft and easy to break. If the wall tile goes below the floor tile, work your way down to the floor and use a carbide drill or small chisel to pry out the wall tile. You are in for a big job. Many remodelers will tell you to cut out the wall tile and backing and start anew rather than take out just the tile.

Not sure if this makes it better or worse, but the wall is not actually tile. My mistake, I described it wrong. It's actually a solid surface verona stone.

IF you are really lucky, you may be able to remove the solid surface. If that proves difficult too, and If you can tolerate the thickness of the added tile and are sure the solid surface is well adhered, you may be able to apply the wall tile over the existing surface. Sure would be a lot easier. Score the surface to let the adhesive grip and install the tile. You might want to try and scrounge a small piece of similar solid surface material and try the tiling as an experiment.
