Our house was renovated a few months ago, with a new toilet.
At first, it was working fine, but recently it hasn't been flushing completely. The water level doesn't rise beyond what it used to, and it doesn't flush slowly, but at the end of the flush there is always a bit of scungy water that swirls around at the bottom. Sometimes toilet paper is left behind. Successive flushes also don't clear the water 100%.
I don't actually know anything about plumbing, so I was wondering if there is anything seriously wrong? And how can I fix the lazy flush?
Also - it's one of those S-bend toilets without the small hole that helps push water into the drain. It's also a water-conserving loo. I've heard that "blue-goo" sometimes causes slow drainage, but we're not using that.
Thank you!
