I have a Rain Dial-RD600 watering system in my yard. I have been trying to program it the way I have over the past several years and am unable to get it to function correctly.
I set the days to water, the amount of time I want to water from each valve and when I try to manually check it the LED display goes to OFF and begins blinking after I enter the amount of time. I have changed the battery, checked the power supply and don't know how to fix it. In my troubleshooting section of my manual it says it could be "Excessive Load" but it's never been a problem before or that it could be a shorted solenoid or field wiring. How do I check these things. What is the solenoid and how do it check it?
