at this point, i don't think there's such a thing as being too harsh.
they're not entirely sure when this cat got pregnant, which means they allowed an unfixed female around unfixed males on at least several occasions, if they tried to prevent it at all. they have done NO research into feline pregnancy and labor, and obviously have no experience with animal birthings. they noticed her bleeding TWO DAYS before posting here, and saw nothing wrong with that. even after being told several times they they should at least call and TALK to a vet, they have shown absolutely no inclination to do so.
out of ALL of that, the only response amounts to, 'well, she's still pregnant, so i guess i'll sit on my butt and wait to see if she either gives birth or dies.'
I hate people like that. Grr. I wish there was a throwing up emoticon.

Tell us about your day Emop.
WELL I got to see my boyfriend today, we walked down his yard, through fields, to a lake, through woods, and just chatted and enjoyed being together. Then we went to the state park and rock climbed and hiked, swam in a lake, kissed under a waterfall, it was great. Then when we got back to his house, his family invited me to stay to watch a movie. His dad's side of the family adores me =) it was great. Except I couldn't watch the movie, lately I've had such a weak stomach! (and normally I can watch the goriest and most horrific movies without a blink). It was sooo fun, nature, nature, and a movie =)

If it has a ball, then just unscrew the little cover thingy and clean the ball with rubbing alcohol. Do the same thing to the little roller rod things underneath the ball, inside the mouse.
If it has a laser, then wipe the bottom with alcohol swabs and make sure your mousepad is clean. The laser mouses will jump, jerk, and stick if there's gunk on your mousepad.

Did that a while back.
R thinks it's the finish on the ball, it's rubbed off.
It's a few years old, so that's possible.
The laser works, it's the ball, it sticks. It doesn't glide like it used to.
I guess everything ages. :(
I hope I can find a similar one. I hate switching mouses, mice, mouse? What the heck do use for the plural of a computer mouse?

LMAO!
Funny story.
When we got married my Uncle videotaped it. When we got the videotape R did his magic, added some pictures to music, made it a really nice tape. Back then (I can't believe I just said that) it was a big deal.
Anyway, my friends all saw it, loved it, and made me promise that when they got married R would do the videotape.
Well 4 months after we married, my friend did. I was one of her bridesmaids and the only one out of our friends that had a house at the time, so I threw the bridal shower.
Many people I didn't know showed up. We had snacks, cake, played games, the usual. Then my friend mentioned the videotape, how great it was. Of course after that, everyone wanted to see it. Only problem, it wasn't labeled.
So I start popping in every video without a label into the VCR (yes, VCR, no DVD back then). Push video in, hit play, not it, remove, insert new video, hit play, not it, remove, and so on and so forth. Well around half way through the dozens of unlabeled video tapes I slide one in, hit play, and much to my surprise, it's a porn video.
I'm shocked. Not shocked that we have porn, but shocked that the video is playing in front of over 20 people, most of whom I don't know, but will meet again at the wedding!
I hit stop as fast as I can, hoping no one saw what was on the tape. No such luck.
One of the ladies says "Was that the honeymoon video?" :p
At the wedding I was known as "the lady with the porn".
Thanks R. :(

Oh I so needed a little respite in the castle.
Every thread I visited recently has been about someone being hurt by someone else behaving like a jerk, from someone worried about child abuse to people damaged by the past. I know it's what happens but sometimes the sheer volume of hurting on here is a bit discouraging.
So nice to hang out with some healthy exchange as a balancer - even if I have wiled away the best part of an hour catching up. Still after reading about the 10 hour stints some of you have had I don't feel too bad lol.
I was going to hide away in the dungeon to recuperate but the postman just delivered me some new baking ingredients so I'm going to get busy in the kitchen. I ordered some lacuma to try adding to my raw chocolate recipes as I need something nice and creamy but dairy-free. We are going to friends for dinner and the wife cannot have any dairy which means no chocolate usually so I'm whipping up some special chocs as a gift to take.
The supplier even sent me some extra free goodies which was a nice surprise.
So the castle spook will be rattling around in the kitchen for a while. I'll try not to make too much mess or scare anybody. I'm a friendly kind of spook, honest.
Whooooooooo, whip, beat, moaaaaaaaan, melt, pour, wail.. chain-rattling.
Mmmm, not sure I'm the most convincing spook lol.

I had a teacher in high school that stressed the importance of pre-screening videos. When she was student teacher her host teacher had her put in a movie for the students to watch while he graded papers. She put the movie in, then went into his office to help him with the grading. About 20 minutes later, he went in to check on them.
The movie he had given her to put in showed a rather informative view of his and his wife's 'extra-curricular' activities. The vcr had been 'altered' to keep students from messing with it, meaning it could only be operated with the remote, which she had taken into the office with her.
The students were either too embarrassed, or interested, to go tell them what had happened. And, apparently, none of them thought to just turn off the TV.
For about 20 minutes a room full of hormonal teenagers got an in-depth techni-color look into their teacher's personal life. To say he was mortified would be an understatement.

Good Morning everybody. Thanks for all the support. I am doing better but have my times. I have been surrounded by friends the whole time and Have been at his moms house every day to keep her comforted. His funeral was sad of course but we tried to make it happy. Unlike most funerals you would go to. We listened to his favorite music and stuff that wasn't a downer. One song before the service started we actually started singing and got most of the people to sing with us. It was his favorite song of course. So, we made the most of it and I think he would have liked it.

So helloooo
Quick q to the ladies.
I'm buying new sheets. Yes, it seems absurd to even ask for advice on this topic. I've always had black satin sheets. I like satin. It's soft, it keeps me cool at night, and it looks really nice. The girlfriend is somewhat opposed to this idea. When I asked her about it, she said, "It's a girl thing."
I've googled, "What does black satin sheets mean?" but I got nothing. Did I miss an issue of Cosmo because it got lost in the mail?
Alty
Jul 27, 2010, 01:23 PM
It may be because of the "player" connotation.
Black sheets are sexy, mood striking, something a single guy uses to lure the ladies into the sack.
When you're in a relationship, black satin sheets are no longer okay. Buy cotton, preferably something with little flowers all over it. That says "I'm not planning on bringing anyone else into this bed, heck, I barely want to sleep in it". :)
Aurora_Bell
Jul 27, 2010, 01:40 PM
Haha skip the little flowers and go for 300 count or higher cotton sheets. Solid colors are fine, but remember darker colors aren't forgiving when it comes to umm well... you know... Try to stay away from black.
Satin sheets definitely sends out player vibes. I've never enjoyed satin especially in the summer months. Now silk sheets, that's where the money is! :D
hheath541

It's a purse holder. You put the heart part on the table, and the purse on the loop, and it keeps your purse safe and off the floor.
It's all the rage where I am, but apparently the kids in the US aren't as hip as this 39 year old chick. :)
I've never even heard of one. But it's so pretty, I could've used one in school to keep my bag off the ground

There are tons of different kinds. Some have bling, others have sayings. There are so many different styles.
Truthfully, they were around in my mother-in-laws day, but they've recently made a comeback. Why wouldn't they? They're a great idea. :)
Just Google "purse holder" and you'll find tons. :)

Which kind of donut would you like Alty? I really am digging the maple butter and brown sugar ones. Soooo good.
My mom sent me this e mail about how you put your purse on the floor, on the floor in a public bathroom stall, it gets dragged around, and than you put it on the kitchen counter. Ewww.
I like all things sparkly!

Ya, the floors of anywhere you go, just gross. As a future doctor I would think that Sneezy would appreciate the suggestion of a purse holder. It's sparkly, pretty, and it will save his girlfriend from any nasty infections and diseases that may be clinging to her purse because he's too darn stubborn to buy her a purse holder.

I talked to him for hours about this, and he didn't believe me. He wants to get her something for their 6 month anniversary. He was looking at jewelry, over $200.
I told him never to start with something like that, because then you have to top it. Start small and you have nowhere to go but up.

Apparently celebrating the 6 month anniversary is the new thing. Maybe because most people don't get to a year, and they want gifts. ;)
I've never celebrated an anniversary. The only relationship that lasted long enough to even think about it, was with a jahovah's witness. I LOVE giving gifts and celebrating things, so it was awkward trying to figure out how to handle the 1 year/valentine's day thing with someone who's religion doesn't allow for celebrating dates or giving gifts.
Plus, there was the added awkwardness that I had decided to end it as soon as the play we were both in was over. I didn't want to deal with having to spend several hours a day with him right after a break-up. It would have been a completely new level of awkward for us and the rest of the cast.

She's into history. I would have taken her to the wildlife reserve, or take her snorkeling to see the underwater relics, but she's not a huge fan of the outdoor stuff, nor is she a strong swimmer... I have a little bit of time. I'll keep coming up with new ideas.

I still think it's a good idea especially if she is into history.
Alty, I think I may have solved your house fly problem. I just made myself a cup of chamomile tea, and went to take a sip and a friggen fly flew in it. Put it down and another one flew in!

I heard of a way to get rid of houseflies...
Apparently, if you get a zip lock bag, fill it halfway with water, seal it, and hang it by your door, the flies will avoid it.
Something to do with their vision; if they sense movement, they will avoid it at all costs, and if you place water in a plastic bag, and as it moves, it will create an image of movement.
I have yet to try it, but it's all the rage here in boonville.

And well my friend had to fire her sitter because well she was a bad sitter and she asked if I could watch him. I agreed thinking it was just today.. boy was I wrong. So Monday Wed Fri I'm watching a baby from 9AM to 5PM. This is kind of hard for me this is my do stuff time-- you know groceries, paying bills, gym... laundry (lol--- get it JERSEY SHORE aha.. I don't watch that show but I know that line). So yeah now I'm watching a baby-- eeps! On Friday someone is dropping off their dog that I'm watching for a while. So in my head I have a baby on my hip, Rachel asking for a cookie (that's her new thing right now) and Camille and the dog fighting (those two don't get along.. they're always chasing eachother) and in the midst of it all I'm trying to make lunch.
Hahaha
Anyway wish me luck.
Right now Rachel is playing with the baby while watching Elmo. They seem to get along... now.

And I love scuba. Sometimes, I pretend I'm Aquaman.
Cool... I sometimes pretend to be Wonder Woman, but the kids keep asking me to stop wearing the costume when I pick them up at school...

I'm all worn out... must wake up early tomorrow for physics tuition...
Well, those are called holidays... at least, there is no school which takes 8 more hours...
Been trying to learn more about some math tricks, got some, not all. I need to try to get more in my head for the Aussie Math Competition on the 5th of August...
Is it me or the site's been running a little slower for some time now, especially when the ffStyle was introduced?
Okay, bye everyone, I'm off to sleep.
EDIT: Don't pay too much attention to what I said, I'm not thinking quite 'right' now. Okay, Cya all!

I went to see my shrink, then went to the store. Then almost went into heat stroke on the way home. If the ride was just a few minutes longer, I would have. Collapsed on the floor and almost instantly started sweating again and had five worried kitties looking after me. After a cool shower and a couple popscicles, I'm better.
Now I'm just exhausted. But, I didn't pass out and go into shock, so I'm good. Going to sleep, now.

Well at least you said next summer not next week so you have time to see if you still feel that's a good idea by next year. I can understand why you would want to move on to to a new life. Sincerely wish you well whatever you do.
Uggg I have a rotten dose of flu or something. So weak I'm struggling to lift my cuppa! I have such a busy weekend planned, seeing friends then going down to London (4-5 hrs each way) to help our son move house. No fair, I need the 'get better quick fairy'. :(

Have an open plan lounge and seating area with a large fire place.
Want to paint the walls magnolia, and the wall around the fireplace a cappuccino colour.
I have a painting from a local artist that I want to put over the fire place,I want to pick up the colours in the painting.
Kitchen will be a harvest yellow kind of colour.
I can open the double doors into the kitchen so I want the colours to flow instead of a block of colours that stop and start.
Ill post pictures when its done.

Well, I slept for about 12 hours, then woke up with a splitting headache and dry heaved for a few minutes before going back to sleep. I'm all better now.
Not completely sure what sent me spiralling downward that quickly. It wasn't THAT hot out. I've been out and about in hotter weather without hitting the danger zone like that.
Thank the gods I went to church camp as a teen. Otherwise I wouldn't have known the signs and probably would've done something stupid, like jumping into a cold shower, and sent my body into shock. Living by myself and without any friends or family nearby means no one would've worried about me for at least a couple days, and no one would've checked on me for who knows how long. I got to be more careful, or I'm going to die alone in a house full of cats.

Okay Red, water, water water and mind maps. :)
Emop, you are given 75 minutes to solve about 30 math questions. 25 Multiple choice and 5 structured.
It starts with easy peasy numbers, then more tougher ones, and finally, really, really tough ones. Those which even teachers sometimes find difficult to solve
The greatest enemy here is time. We have to do the maximum. Last time, I left the 5 last questions blank... but I was nevertheless in the 97th percentile in my school. I still need to progress...
