I have a model #2407 20" self propelled snowblower. It was distributed by J C Penney. It has a penncraft logo . Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Ken.

Hi,
Those machines are particularly hard to find any cross reference to because of multiple vendors making equipment for JC Penney.
If you give the number off the engine, I can possibly help.
Peace,
Clarke

Thanks Clarke! Here's more info I found on the snow thrower. Lambert SS-4. Engine-Penncraft Model 100252-0356-01. It's a 20" self-propelled single stage. I would really like to know how old this thing is?

Hi,
That third number, the Code has the date of manufacture built into it. Best I could find from Briggs put the engine as 1983, but it was not reliable.
I do not believe that Lambert cover came from that machine, but is a "recycled" part. Paint color is always a clue. Lambert made snowthrowers, but I could not verify they did for JC Penney.
Peace,
Clarke

I have a PennCraft 2407, 16"auger, 12" impeller, 5hp Tecumpseh, white with blue lettering. I researched it a few years back and believe it was from 1971-72

Hi, I picked up a dated snowblower... its kawazaki green and has the crusader name on it, its powered by a 7 hp tecumseh... its late 60's-early seventies I'm guessing. The only info I found is that it may be an old mtd... but still very little info... it looks like this... but green. I can find the engine parts fiche no problem,. but I'm seeking info on the unit itself.. for parts or manual. Any info is gretaly appreciated.
