How do you break up with your boyfriend after three years? And what do you say to them when you still love them?

I'm confused. If you still love him, then why are you wanting to break up?

People that are in successful relationships communicate and try to work on any problems they may have rather than walk away. I suppose you could go with the "I think we need a break" thing. God I hate that line, but any guy will know what that means including yours.

Were not going make your job easier. If you don't want to be with him then be upfront with him about instead of prolonging a break-up.

However, make sure this is something you want to do so you won't do something your regret. As mention above if you love him" why do you want to break-up with him"?

Is the relationship unfitable or do you want to be free? Something had to spark what your considering doing.

Do it like ripping off a band aid. Do it real quick. You know it is going to hurt.. but the pain will be over soon rather than taking forever and hurting just as long.

"The past three years have been great but I no longer share the same passion and feelings for you as I once did. I still love you as a person, just not as my partner. I wish you well on your life journey but this is where our train makes it's final stop"

It's not the best, but I have used a line similar to this.
