I had a son over 6 yrs. Ago. His father was an illegal alien and we were together at the child's birth. 61 months ago he left and has not contributed to his sons life at all. He called a few times in the first couple of years and the area code was Ft Worth, Tx. I have not heard from him in 2 or more years. I want to know how I can have all if any rights he has with my son revoked and I would like to change my sons last name to my own.

You can't. If you looked thourgh the sticky note at the top of this forum or any of the hundreds of similar threads, you would have already known that.

Getting a TPR is very difficult. Generally they are only granted to clear the way for adoption (like if you remarry) or if the parent representsd a danger to the child.

Getting the name changed is also difficult as it would need the father's approval. But you might be able to get that done if you can show you made a good faith effort to find the father and get his permission.
