City sewer or septic tank? Outside your house next to it is a cleanout. Locate it, remove the cover and let me know if the pipe's full of water? Waiting on you. Regards, Tom

Hi,
It is city sewer. When we run water in the laundry tub, it does not come up in the floor.

That would make it a local in-house problem. Have hubby run the snake through the floor drain. There's a return bend in the floor drain about 5" down, crank and work your way around it and put out about 15 more feet . Good luck, Tom

They sell hand cranked snakes and snakes that fit on a power drill.(see image). Have hubby run the snake through the floor drain. There's a return bend in the floor drain about 5" down, crank and work your way around it and put out about 15 more feet . Good luck, Tom

Hi, we are having the same problem with a new house that is only 2 years old. My dad already ran the snake through the floor drain and a bunch of goodies from the toilet came out... We haven't checked the city sewer, but what would be the next steps if this is not the cause?

Thank you
