Make sure the condenser coils are clean. Remove the bottom cover and carefully clean all of the dust and debris that have built up on the coils. A more complete cleaning involves removing the lower cover on the back of the refrigeration and removing all of the buildup.

If you can see frost in th freezer compartment, and you have a frost-free one, then it's a good bet your defrost thermostat is bad.
