Hey guys!
Bio Claire have proved to be a successful product for many on this forum. It lightens and brightens the skin. Unfortunately some members have had some sort of allergic reactions to it and therefore made them darker, so if you decide to use it, do a patch test first! Also, it might not work for everyone! As we all have different skin.
There are 3 types of Bio Claire. Cream, lotion and oil.
If you have any questions about the product, please post in this thread instead of creating a new thread. All other Bio Claire threads will be closed.

For those that have been asking. I used bio claire on my face for about 3 weeks before I saw some lightening and on my body for about 6 or 7 weeks before I saw results. I had to stop using the bio claire on my face for about 2 weeks because it was lightening so much faster. It has been about 4 months now and I am happy with the results. I did tan a bit when I went on vacation, but I'm still lighter than I was before.
I did have a skin reaction to the BC, but I think it's part of the lightening process. I had the dry itchy skin (which passed in a week), then the red patches and the veiny look (which also passed) and small dark spots. I also used an exfoliating soap every time I shower. I think it helps to get all of the dead skin off before applying. I started with mixing the serum and the cream for the first 2 months, and I switched to the lotion. Overall I have lightened about 3-4 shades on my face and 2-3 shades on body. So I am very pleased.

What I love about Bio Claire is that it's very cheap to buy and seemed to have worked for me. The other product I tried was DS (Too expensive!) and gave me dark patches! But the black soap was good.

Hi guys I'm new to the site the only reason I join is to let you guys know the real truth about skin "lightening lotions" it is a good procedure cat first, BUT it can ruin it meaning it thins the skin and stretches it so it becomes ripped like surgery scars it can occur all over the body except for the face. I am an experienced person and how I know I had happened to me I have hideous scars all over my legs stomach and arms. I regret the day I started this lightning regiment. Be smart stop now!! Yours truly.
I can't wear shorts any more I am so depressed I was trying to lighten my skin now I'm stuck with hideous scars will I ever find a man to love me with these scars.
Any questions please ask?

It does lighten knees and elbows but it takes a while. I sometimes would just put it on my knees and elbows randomly throughout the day. Maybe 3 times a day. But it took a good 6 to 8 weeks before I saw the slightest change.
Oddly, it took my hands a long time to lighten. They are still darker. Maybe because I wash them through out the day and I am washing the lotion off? Anybody else experience this?

The best advice I can tell u ,is too use skin lightening cleansers only on those area at night time. Because with creams its might take a while and you might not even achieve the results you want, trust me I've been on bleaching products for years loooooool
And by the way labella my arms are getting darker at this moment looooooooool is tha a sign of burn or it's the dead skin cells? And I also see little clear spots of lighter skin. So.. can I get an answer?lol I've really been on it lets say 4 maybe a week

What do you mean by skin lightening cleansers? Sorry, I must be boring you. For the problem of your arms getting darker, make sure you body brush - it gets rid of the dead skin cells and increase blood flow. Hope that helps :)

That happened me too! I had little pin spots of light skin peaking through darker skin.. lol! Not sure if the dark skin is dead or burned but it goes away. The lighter spots will get bigger and it will look a little odd then all the darkness will go away. But it took my skin 3 weeks. Where are your dark spots? On your body or your face? If you are getting lighter skin on your body in a week that is really, really good!
I tanned on vaction so now I have those little spots again, but not much of a contrast because I didn't tan as dark as I was before. And my body is re-lightening faster the second time around than the first.
So be patient. Exfiloliate, exfoliate, exfoliate.

You know those liquid lotion [i don't mean body milk]tha you have to apply with a cotton ball? ok I tell you more. I use to use a african lotion [again not body milk] called ''eclatin'' omg! That's so strong its for area like hands ,knees, elbows, and feet. It definitely gets the job done.its recommended to use it 3 times a week. If you want to ask me more questions no problemmmmmmm llol... and hmm body brush very good idea

From reading that article, I've seen this was written in 2006 which was a while ago. So maybe Bio Clair took out the hydroquinone and have now labeled it saying it contains no hydroquinone.

Some people have been using Bio Claire for years and have never experienced that. I have been using it for 5 months and not even close. Are you sure you were using Bio Claire? Sounds more like paint thinner, because I can't imagine anything else stretching my skin until it ripped. Or even using anything on my skin to the point of it actually ripping, for that matter. If it was thinning my skin I would have stopped using it before it got to the extreme of ripping and scars? Hhhmmm...
My experience with Bio Claire has been positive along with many others.

Bio Claire is not a bleach.
First you said "Bio Claire Is Very Good But Had A Tendancy To Give Red Pimples All Over Body" and then you say "i used bio claire and it messed up my skin some huge scars on my leg becuz it stretches the skin so thin that it starts to rip.uughhhhh ugly sight."

Or is Bio Claire a great product that just simply gives you red pimples but AFTER two years of continuos use it is a horrible product that suddenly rips your skin and gives you scars?

Bio claire isn't smuggled into the States. It's not even that serious. It's $5.00 a tub. If it was $20 an oz and I had to buy it in the back of the beauty of store behing closed doors okay. This stuff is sitting on shelves next to the Shea & Cocoa butter.

BioClaire does not contain HQ. It's the non-HQ version.
It used to contain HQ, two years ago. But now they sell a non-HQ version, hence the label, "non-HQ".
Monobenzone is actually closer in form to HQ (hello, monobenzyl ether of HQ), and far more dangerous than BioClaire (which has no HQ at all), if you want to bet technical. And no, it's not "smuggled into the country". If that was the case, why do I see it in every Asian hair store I go to out here in Maryland/Baltimore? Lol you're a mess!

I stopped using it on my face about 1 week ago when I noticed the dark patches. Some posters have said it was too strong for the face. I'm going into my 5th month with no problems until now. I did go on vacation and got tanned so maybe that's what happened, but even still I shouldn't have to dodge the sun because I am afraid of dark patches! Or this could just be another part of the lightening process. I'm willing to go through changes on my body but not on my face. My body looks great though!
So, when the patches go away, I will use the Bio Claire maybe every other day to maintain, but not every day. I was using the soap and the lotion it lighten my face too fast anyway. I was looking pale. I'll keep you posted.

You can smell steroids now? And how are you so "SURE?" Have you read something recent & creditble? Have you taken Bio Claire to a chemist and had a chemical breakdown of the prduct? Do you have some inside intellectual patent information on the ingredients you would like to share? Do you have some court documents? Have they been sued for misrepresenting themselves? OR did you just come to this conclusion just because it "smells funny so therefore it aint right?"

Hun do you go to college? Many time the professor will tell you a research article that's is two years old is still valid information(sometimes even five years old).
I was using bio claire but I stopped in fear of what hq does for long term usage. A member on another board who is from the ivory coast clearly gave valid information about the company. She was not trying to tell people to stop using the product because she used it as well. But she wanted to inform people because there are serious side affects to long term usage of hq.
I have seen many lightening creams that states exactly what is the active ingrediant in lightening products. Weather it is arbutin, hq, kojic acid(which is inside) but the active ingrediant is "Natural bio vegetal activator"? What exactly is that?
I would rather be paronoid and safe, then in the long run have a messed up face and possibly other longterm affects.

2nd year in the nursing program at Georgia State University. How did you guess? Research article info found off the INTERNET is NOT creditble or acceptable in any of my classes or by any professor. But I am a critical thinker. And if another poster gave valid information. Good because valid is the magic word here. Can you forward that information from the poster? There obviously is a concern and I'm sure some other posters would like to read that information also.
I'm in the US. We have the FDA (Food & Drug Administration) and we have the Homeland Security Anti-Terrorist division. You can't just slap a label on a product and sell it to Americans. A product can't have hq and steroids or dangerous chemicals in it and not be on the label. Especially, from an African nation. Now if you want to mention paranoid... Americans are not putting anything in their mouthes or on their bodies, that comes out of Africa, the Middle East and some parts of Asia, unless we know what the hell is in it. PERIOD!
Bio: Life , Vegetal: Of, relating to, or characteristic of plants, Activator: To convert (certain biological compounds) into biologically active derivatives
Bio Vegetal Activator: The active ingredients come from a live plant base. Would be an educated guess. What that live plant base is? They are obviously not telling the competition. And they don't have too as long as they say the activator is vegetal.
I want to be safe too.. but being paranoid sucks.

The definition of crazy doing the same thing over and over again expectiong different results. And stupid is signing to a blind man expecting an answer. So that's what this "debate" has turned into, crazy & stupid, so I'm done posting on it.
My dark patches on my face are fading. YEAH! It's been two weeks since I stopped using BC and I haven't gotten darker. I think it might have been the sun exposure. I will give it another week and try the BC again. Keep you guys posted!

Hun, I never told you not to use the product. If you are pertaining that quote to me. You need to reverse that back to you. You are protecting something down to the bone, as if you took it to the lab and tested it yourself. You are so much on the defense about bio claire that you will not even open up your mind and try to be careful. And when I state careful just knowing that if you are using hq, you can only use it about 2 months or so(not exactly sure.)The FDA does not approve everything FDA/CFSAN Cosmetics Quiz Question 1 (http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~dms/costf-1.html)
If I am going to use something for long term usage I would want to know exactly what is inside. I fear using something that could possibly be harmful on to my face. There is a place in NYC where so many women lighten their skin. As result they have black and green patches on their face and also some parts of their skin burnt off. Im not trying to turn into the hulk with those green patches!
I would rather listen to someone who has lived the experience(from the ivory coast), knows about the company, has used bio claire and not try to tell people not too, but for others to be aware of what is inside. And read an article that is two years old. I will be "crazy, paranoid" but I won't be sorry.
Good luck and try not to use bio claire as long term usage.

Your FDA Link was from December 2000 way BEFORE The FDA united with Homeland Security AFTER 9/11 in Oct 2003. Damnit I got sucked in again! Call me crazy... lol!
Anyway, I haven't gotten darker in 2 weeks after I stopped using it so, I think I can give myself some breaks. I might just use the Bio Claire only in the summer or once a twice a week to maintain. I don't like that pale veiny look anyway. I just like the brighter complexion I got.

Hun, I got it directly through the FDA homepage. Even though that quiz was from 2000, the rule still stands as of today. This here is from 2005 AFTER 2003, it states the same thing US FDA/CFSAN Cosmetics - FDA Authority Over Cosmetics (http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~dms/cos-206.html)
Many people know that lightening products that are made in Africa are not necessarily safe regardless if it is sold in the U.S. You may not have seen a large amount africans that have lightened their skin but I have. They look terrible! And that's what scares ME, that's why I no longer use it. I would rather be uncertain and safe than look like a monster years down the line. You can sit that and swear on the product as if you know people directly who made it, but I will not trust a lightening product that is made in the ivory coast. And that is just my opinion.
As stated before, just becareful not to make long term usage of bio claire.

I'm glad you posted that article from 2005 and it just supports what I am saying.
"Does FDA test cosmetics?
The FD&C Act does not subject cosmetics to FDA premarket approval in order to be marketed legally. However, FDA collects samples for examination and analysis as part of its plant inspections, import inspections, and follow-up to complaints of adverse reactions. FDA may also conduct research on cosmetic products and ingredients to address safety concerns."
I have said I don't work in the lab so I can't swear by what's in it, in at least 5 different post, but I trust that the product has been around long enough to be tested by the FDA not to be mislabled and have HQ and steroids in it.

I don't know anything about Black Soap. PM Punk Chic, she is like the expert on skin lightners. Bio Claire takes a long time to lighten on the body, except the face. It has lighten my body but hasn't lightened any scars, and my knee and elbows are still darker.

Hi,
I am interesyed in using bio claire, what type of skin color does it tend to give, the "high yellow" color and brightening, or a whiter / paler color?
Also, those of you who have had good results, what race are, you as different creams tend to work differently for people who are asian or black etc
I'm mixed race, black n white and my face and neck are darker than the rest of my body, just through years of sun exposure, do you think bio claire could work for me?
Thanks for your time:-),

My parents are from the Dominican Republic. I was a medium brownish/reddish. Sort of like Tatyanna Ali. Now I am more like Stacy Dash... I guess. Peole told me I looked like stacy Dash but darker, now they just say I look like Stacy Dash but lighter... lol. At first it was a lighter brighter healthy color and then I started to go pale, which I didn't like. I had to start using a bronzer to give my face some color. And once I went pale I tried to tan a little and got dark patches on my face (which are almost gone after 2 weeks on non use thank God) A lot of users said they started to go darker after 4 months or got darker after they stopped using the Bio Claire. It's been over 2 weeks of not using Bio Claire on my face and I haven't gotten any darker. I still used Bio Claire on my body and my tan lines disappeared in about 2 weeks, but initially it took me about 7 weeks to see any lightening of the body. I hope that helps.

Not long at all. Maybe 2-3 weeks. But some posters say they saw a difference in a few days others say over a month. I guess it depends on your skin type, and the complexion you start with. And it took 7 weeks to START to lighten. It took a good 3 months before the results were noticeable to anyone else. Bio Claire is not for the impatient.

I have bought the Bio claire cream and used it for a week. Only two times a day, in the morning and at night because of the smell. My sister says I stink as hell, like a mobile afro shop and my mother asks me what kind of fragrance I use. So I stopped before seeing any results. It takes me more than a hour to get to the shop. So I want to know if the lotion or the oil smell the same or if they are more acceptable. Has anybody of you expierienced the same?

OMG you're funny.. lol. The tub of cream does smell like afro sheen or hair grease. I could not describe that smell until now.. lol. But the lotion has a little bit of fragrance too it. Unfortunately, I think the cream and the serum is better on your body when you're first starting because it's the strongest (not on the face.. use the lotion). I switched to the lotion after a few months. But some people only used the lotion.

But if I smell like this and all of a sudden my skin lightens, it would be too obvious that I have used something. My mom would kill me if she knew I was skin lightening, call me a lowlife being with inferiority complex and all this stuff. Maybe its better to go for the lotion or the oil. Do they have have a good fragrance or the same like the cream only weaker?

Honey, it's your mother, she gave birth to you. You could smell like strawberries and cream she is going to know you lightened your skin eventually. The bio claire smells the same, but the lotion seems to have a lighter fragrance too it. It depends on the batch too. I got a batch that smelled like gas. I tossed it.
bella05
Sep 8, 2008, 07:27 AM
I agree with Labella, it depends on batch. My first cream smelled like cat piss. But the second one had no smell at all. So since it is so cheap, you can buy another one somewhere else and see.

Okayyy.. So I know a lot of you have had great success with Bio Claire. So I bought myself there oil, and there tub of body crème. At first, I would put on the oil and wait till it absorbed than put on the crème. For 5 days I did this. And I got little to NO results. Than I start putting the oil itself on my face at night, and the crème in the morning. With SUNSCREEN. For about... 4 weeks now. Overall the only results I got was a little brightness. Its weird, some mornings I wake up and I see that my face has a wonderful yellow undertone to it. All EVEN. Than other mornings I wake up and its back to normal =(. I thought Bio Claire would be so strong as to even make your skin "whiter".. Maybe Im doing something wrong? Maybe it's the tub of crème that's not that effectful? Next time I'm getting the body lotion because that's the one that's doing people good. So I'm going to be using the oil and body lotion. But I just want to know was I doing anything wrong??

I wouldn't call it "whiter." More brighter and then you start to go pale as in unhealthy pale. It took 7 weeks and I went pale and didn't like it at all so I stopped using it as much. As far as your body it's going to take a good few months before you see any big diffrence.

And I have a lot of spots on my arm and face.. an di think my back.. can anyone offer any advice as to how to lightening these specific areas?
Is it hard to lightening only some areas? If it better to lighten a few shades lighter then tan back to my normal complexion? Are there disadvantages to do that? What exfoliating products do you use? Is baking soda okay to use or harsh? Currently all I have, and haven't begun using is the bioclaire crème.. I once used the oil but I didn't use it consistently and I didn't observe the changed and I mixed it with my lotion as a girl told me to do.. she says its harsh and will burn yo quickly? Is this true..
Please give me some advice on this

Hun do you go to college? Many time the professor will tell you a research article thats is two years old is still valid information(sometimes even five years old).
Kojic Acid is in the BC.. if u look at the ingredients you will see at the bottom.. its stated there:) :)

Yeah I know 3 months sounds like a long time but I think the BC is relatively safe. With the emphasis on the "relative", there has been some debate on its safetly. I would be a little cautious of "overnight" skin lightening.

Hi everyone, I've been browsing this site for a while now, and I've been using Bio Claire for a week now so thought I'd get involved with the discussions.
I'm a South Asian male born and bred in London, 22 years old and of normal Pakistani complexion, i.e. not dark and not light, just in between. Difficult to describe really!
The problem I have is my arms, hands, elbows, toes and knees are considerably darker than the rest of my body. This is most probably due to sun damage but my hands, toes, knees and elbows are just naturally dark I think.
I've heard good things about Bio Claire oil so I've been using that for the past week or so, twice a day after showering and before bed.
A few things I've noticed:
1) The veins on my inner arm are more noticeable
2) My skin on my arms and hands have become flaky
3) My fingers are wrinkly as if I've spent too much time in the bath.
Are these all normal symptoms of using Bio claire oil? Also the oil is too harsh for the face, is the lotion more suitable?
Thanks guys, will keep posting my results in the following weeks.

Hi! I'f I'm not mistaken, you are supposed to "mix" the oil with the cream or lotion. I did at first. Yes, I used an exfoliating lightening soap. Fair & white is what I use. They have a black soap and a blue soap.

It was my understanding that the serum/oil is to be mixed with the lotion or the cream. I wouldn't mix all three together. Some have and it was too strong. I really don't know if the Fair and White soap made any difference. I just used it because it was an exfoliator and the fact it was a lightener didn't hurt.

Hi everyone I'm new to forums and things, but I read on this site about the success some were having with BC and considering it was inexpensive, I decided to give it a try.
Background history: I have a bad allergic reaction to Hydroquinone.
After about a few days of using BC I broke out horribly all over my body. It started as a red itchy rash and then soon turned into blistered bumps, some big, some small. On my face, it broke out in little red pimple like bumps. Its SO horrible.
I know there has been a huge debate as to whether this contains Hydroquinone or not, all I can say is that I specifically used this product because it stated it was Natural with NO HYDROQUINONE. My allergic reaction was very reminiscent of my previous Hydroquinone break outs.
Can anyone tell me if they've experienced similar issues and if it healed and went away? I've stopped using BC for the time being, but I really do want to use something that will even my tone.
Thanks everyone!

Do any of you experience rebound darkening with bioclaire?
I found that certain creams that I've used to lighten skin has worked for a day or two but the following day my skin would get MUCH DARKER.
( just in case you're not aware of this unwanted effect.. this rebound darkening which is probably due to your body making even more melanin than normal to overcome the suppression of melanin synthesis by the lightening product.. )

I have been using bio claire for a week now and I can honestly say I have experienced results in just 7 days. I applied the cream (in the jar) 2 times and day to my face, and I mix the cream and oil together and put it all over my face before I go to bed.The results are dramatic. My skin has went from a medium brown complexion (like Patti Labelle) to a lighter caramel complexion (like Whitney Houston). In some spots my face is really light, in others it's no difference, but I wear make up to blend my skin so I'm not concerned I know a little blotchiness is part of the process. Another thing that happened was my skin became extremely dry, red, and itchy. I have ALWAYS had oily skin until now, but the redness, dryness and itchiness took about 3 to 4 days to clear, after it cleared my skin was smoother and lighter! I will keep you all posted and next week I'll include pictures.

Has anyone used bio claire for acne marks? I recently just started using bio claire again along with glycolic acid again to even my skin tone since I have acne scars... I was wondering if bio claire helps in fading acne scars?

I have been using bio claire for a week now and I can honestly say I have experienced results in just 7 days. I applied the cream (in the jar) 2 times and day to my face, and I mix the cream and oil together and put it all over my face before I go to bed.The results are dramatic. My skin has went from a medium brown complexion (like Patti Labelle) to a lighter caramel complexion (like Whitney Houston). In some spots my face is really light, in others it's no difference, but I wear make up to blend my skin so I'm not concerned I know a little blotchiness is part of the process. Another thing that happend was my skin became extremely dry, red, and itchy. I have ALWAYS had oily skin until now, but the redness, dryness and itchiness took about 3 to 4 days to clear, after it cleared my skin was smoother and lighter! I will keep you all posted and next week i'll include pictures.
I'm glad it's working for you and others. I want to give it a try myself once I can figure out how to get it. Generally I've gotten results from a lot of different products within like the first day as I'm impatient lol I usually give up or think that it does not have an effect if I don't see some change immediately but what my biggest problem is that after the period of lightened skin my skin becomes much darker. It's the reactive process of the body where you're generating even more melanin to overcome the suppression of melanin by the product.
Please let us know if you experience any darkening while using the product.

BioClaire is no joke, the results are very fast and dramatic. I used the oil and lotion. I've stopped using it lately but I'm going to get back on it lol. Ive just been lazy I guess. :/

I have been using BC (Oil only) for last 2 days, it seems like it's working! But I'm having rash and itchyness with some little pimples on my body! But I haven't given up! Will try to use it for at least 7 days to see the result.
Has anyone used Bio Clair Lightening soap? Does it work?

I just ordered the oil and the lotion. I will let you all know what the outcome it. I do not consider my skin to be very sensitive so hopefully I will get some decent results. Thanks for all of your responses. I am not sure if I am excited or scared from reading some of these. Who knows. We shall see. I am like a Kelly Rowland color and just really want to even out my tone because I do have some melasma.

I've been using just the oil for around a month now and it has definitely evened out my skin tone, but I've heard that it's good to mix the oil and cream together as you get the best results from this.
Is this true?

Hi everyone I'm new to forums and things, but I read on this site about the success some were having with BC and considering it was inexpensive, I decided to give it a try.
Background history: I have a bad allergic reaction to Hydroquinone.
After about a few days of using BC I broke out horribly all over my body. It started out as a red itchy rash and then soon turned into blistered bumps, some big, some small.
Thanx everyone!
Hi, I've been using Bio-claire now for about 2 months... Because of personal issues, almost 50% of my family mebers are mixed and most of Exes have always praised "light skin es" no offense to anyone... My problem is, I am lighjt all over my body except my face and I've alsways had remarks about it, so I wanted a uniform shink tone, and just feelal bit better about myself...
BIO CLAIRE was exactly what I needed, it said " W/out Hydroquinone" , on the tube, so I though to myself... "why not"?
My skin had become uniform and beautiful and spotless after about 3 weeks, so I've become addicted to the products. But I noticed that every time I ran out of it, My face went back to being a bit darker and I'd freak out...
Now about a couple weeks ago I've noticed some areas of my skin were a bit red & itchy and I had a rash and I had little blistered bumps on my fingers only...
I am not sure what is causing this on my body, I love the products because it gave me a uniform skin tone... but I am little scared at the same time... I've ran out of the product and I ordered more... but I am worried about the long term side effects...

I've been using this product since July with a great result until last month. This is my first time seeing my skin color so even except my feet.. still got a few dark patches there..
But after being outdoor for 3 days last week my skin started to turn a bit darker even there are no sunlight at that time..
And I already stop using BC about 3 weeks ago.. should I keep applying BC on my skin.. I think my skin kind of thin already.. it can easily get bruised now..

Hi all, I'm new to this forum and its been a while since anyone posted their Bio Clair results. After reading all of the Bio Clair posts I finally ordered the cream, lotion, and oil a few weeks ago and I've been using it for 2 weeks now. I mixed the cream with the oil and used it on my body and the lotion on my face. (Right now I have switched to using the cream mixture on my face).
For starters I am a mocha complexion generally, but my skin is very uneven and is various different shades all around so I just want one uniform color overall. I have sensitive and acne prone skin so I understood the risk I was taking.
To be quite honest I was scared but I am glad I took the risk because so far even though I had a few breakouts, my face has taken on a beautiful glow and I see lighter patches of skin peeking through--no itchiness or dry skin. Since my skin accepted the products so well I decided to start the cream mixture on my face.
To counteract the breakouts I applied prescription Tretinoin and some zinc on the zits after applying Bio Clair.
My body hasn't really lightened yet so I'll keep you guys posted with the following weeks. If my result are good I may post before and after pics.

:) Hi I am new on here and am interested in finding a good skin lightening product, I read about bio claire and they are some great reviews but I am still unsure so would u help I have ordered the bio claire set cream lotion and oil. I got my bottle of bioclaire lotion and started using it yesterday. I see areas that I had hyperpigmentation are lightening and slight lightening in other areas. I hope with continued use I see more lightening. My concern is that I'm going to run out of this stuff pretty quickly. How long does a bottle of the lotion last you guys following the directions on the bottle to apply it 3X/day for the first week and twice a day after that..

Hey, the lightening I'm seeing is subtle. The areas that might have lightened the most are parts that were a bit hyperpigmented. So, in the past few days I'd say it made me look more smoother in complexion. I am almost out of this bottle of lotion in less than a week and I don't think I'm over using it.. just following the instructions on the label.
I think the reason we have different results from these whitening products is first our skins are different but another thing is that many of us have already been dodging the sun and using skin lightening products already so when we try a new product there isn't much change from base line.. . but someone who has a tanned face for example from sun exposure when first time using a product may see a big change..
I'm not sure if ill get the lightening result from bioclaire that I want... ive always dodged the sun and used skin brightening/lightening products so I may already be as close to as light my skin can be..
Ill just keep using this stuff and see if there's any long term lightening effects though..
Just wish I could find a store around my area that sells this stuff so I could avoid shipping costs
Oh, right now I'm using an exfoliating body wash

Wish me luck, pray for me that this cream clears my face and makes my complexion light.
And over the christmas hoildays I have put on weight, and have started working out, doing situps, crunches, weights & jogging to lose weight.
Will this help my skin complexion become lighter?

Hey, bioclaire, depending on your age i.e.. If you're going through puberty etc you can be prone to acne. I think you should tackle one problem at a time. Tackle the acne problem -eat well and exercise like you are starting to do and it may help.. with time as you grow out of the teen years you'll likely grow out of the bad skin too . For the dark skin try to just wear sunscreen and avoid too much sun exposure. These skin lightening products in my opinion I think deteriorates your skin (just my opinion). For instance, when I used fair lovely my skin looked grey/ashy and it lost it's natural elasticity and made me look old. I stopped using the stuff and my face is back to normal now. That's why I no longer use them on my face.
To get my skin healthy looking I like to use a face wash. I really like Olay face wash (for combination/oily skin). I find that it gives my face a glow and it does make me look brighter. I'd recommend it to everyone just to try it. It's specifically the one for combination/oily skin that gives me the glow I don't think the other ones have the same effect. Here's a picture-->

I see the lightening there. It does look uneven. You can just cover that up with make up. I really like make up from "MAC studio fix" it gives your skin a flawless smooth look. I don't know if you have MAC where you live but where I live MAC is the only place where you can get decent make up for dark skin people. Just walk in and they can match your skin tone to the right color.

Thanks a lot for your opinion, I find it very helpful.
But my medincation for my acne isn't cream for my face, it's tablets.
My skin colour is black my skin tone is dark medium brown.
Just to make sure people know.
I use to use fair and lovely but it finished yesterday, I liked it because it make my skin very dry [I have oily sking problems] so I only used in when I was indoors, tough I couldn't use it and go outside because it made my skin look like I put powder on it.
I just woke up, took my acne medince treatment, did my routine exercise, took a bath and used BioClaire on my whole body including my face.
I will watch my face in the afternoon and apply the cream on my face again.
And after coming back from the gym in the evening, I will take a bath and apply the cream on my whole body as well as my face.
I will keep on posting, on how the cream is working for me

Hey Guys, I read this message board before I went out and bought Bio Claire, so I decided to log in and let you guys no what is going on. I bought the soap, creame and Oil. I am too scare to put it on my face, so I just wash my face with the soap once per day. I use the oil and cream on the rest of my body. I am carmel -medium brown. So I'm not that dark . I would say that I have been using Bio Claire for about 3 days now. I use it once per day cause I am too lazy to apply it 3 times daily... lolz. Well it did even out my skin so far, made my legs a little flaky and dry. AND I have notice creepy green veins. Is this normal?? Im kind of scared.. because I only use it once daily. Im not dark skin so I guess that's y its working kind of face. But the veins freak me out a little. I want to use it on my face but I had some pimples and I'm using the Tazorac Gel for it, and my pimples are going away but it makes my skin sensitive. When I was my face with Bio Claire soap and leave it on for a minute, it just burns my face and makes it extra sensitive... n screaming for moisterizer. So that's Y I'm spectical. But I want my face to get light too. So what do I do? What can I use for my face. Which of all the bio claire products can I use on my face? Should I try the cream or the oil? Or both? I use both on my body.

Its been a while since I posted but overall this is what Bio Clair did to me: a minor lightening effect on my face solely, no lightening on my body, but it did start to thin the skin on my thighs and my neck because I started to bruise easily in that area. Last but not least: HORRIBLE HORRIBLE BREAKOUTS OF ACNE! I mentioned earlier that I had acne prone skin but this product just really did a number on my face and thankfully it took weeks but my face has cleared up and I will be seeing the dermi next week and I am still on the hunt for a product to remove the acne scars, won't break me out, and even out my tone. Any suggestions?

Hi guys... I have been reading all these posts for awhile but now I want to take a step towards safe skin whitening. I am an indian female , not too light or not too dark and I have just ordered likas papaya soap as it said it was herbal and claimed to do safe whitening with time. I also use natural stuff like cucumber and lemon at home which helps me but only little bit. I want to try bio claire product and as everyone mentions here that it has kojic acid and some natural stuff that makes me eager to try it out. I am posting a picture here and you can see what skin color I have right now.http://img1.chakpak.com/se_images/106604_-1_564_none/priyanka-chopra-without-makeup-wallpaper.jpg

I doubt Bio Claire will make you look that white!!
The only thing that can make you white is monobenzone but then that is for vitiligo patients. If a normal skinned person used it, they could end up patchy and who else knows what.

Desikudi, both the pics are of the same girl and the 2nd pic has been airbrushed heavily; so I don't think it's achievable...
You can lighten with BC though... you'll get results sooner if you exfoliate your skin regularly before applying the BC... I found the "dermaflannel" very good for exfoliation... you can also use the kojic acid soap/glutathione soaps etc...
I found the dermaflannel on eBay BTW; if anyone's wondering... lol

Its been a while since I posted but overall this is what Bio Clair did to me: a minor lightening effect on my face solely, no lightening on my body, but it did start to thin the skin on my thighs and my neck because I started to bruise easily in that area. Last but nto least: HORRIBLE HORRIBLE BREAKOUTS OF ACNE!
Well I never had acne prone skin all my life... jus like a few pimples... or so but when I hit 19 I don't know what happened and I had like these huge pimple on my cheeks... I went to the dermatalogist and she prescribe The Tazorac Gel and this has helped remove all the acne but it kind of dries up your skin so she give me this lotion its called Cerave Lotion and it is amazing... it does not clog your pores and u apply it first and den you apply the Tazorac Gel. It will not help you the first 2 weeks cause that's how it works... but after 3 months I will assure you that all your acne will be gone. I even tried ProActive... it suckzzzz... dont even waste your money... But let me tell you the Cerave Lotion is sooooo awsome... it even out my face complection and helps with oil and stuff. And you can put it on and apply makeup over it.
When I start applying the Bio Claire lotion on my face I will apply that Cerave Lotion first and because it doesn't clog your pores and it repairs your skin.
Bio Claire Update:
I been using it for like 6 days now , on and off.
but I onli use it once a day. I mix the oil and crème together for my whole body.
I got the veiny look after the 3 or 4th day.
Then I stop for like 2 days and notice that I got this really red, painfull, itchy pimples all over my chest. Thank god its winter... because I can hide it.
I would say my skin is kind of smooth... nothing dramatic yet... because I haven't realli been using it 2 or 3 times a day... onli once.
I will keep posting my experience with bio Claire. So stay tuned.

I think people should use the lotion! It's the safest one out of the bunch IMO. It works really fast on the face, ears, neck, arms, and lower legs. But it takes a while for the rest of your body to catch up but its worth the wait! I did get a few acne bumps on my cheek but I use an exfoilating soap so the bumps where gone in like 4 days. Im seeing excellent results will the fair and white exfiolating soap and the bio claire lotion. I used to hate going to american eagle and looking in the mirrors and my face was so ugly and dark but today I walked pass one but I did a double take and backed up and looked into the mirror and started smiling and touching my face and I said omg my face is so light lol my friend was like "concieted much"
I'm so glad I found something that works!

Hi guys,
Ive just got my bio claire products. I got the oil, cream, soap n lotion. I was wondering which is best 2 use n mix with the oil, the lotion or the cream? Has anyone mixed all 3 together, did this produce good results?
Is either the lotion or the cream stronger?
Thanks in advance for your help :-)

I've never mixed them together. But I've read the oil is the strongest! The cream broke me out, so I switched to the lotion. I found them 2 quite similar. :)

Hi guys,
I come here for some advice with bio claire. My lightening products consist of bio claire oil, b.c. cream in tub and idole exfloitate soap and f n w soap(orange) exfloitate soap. I have been using it for a least 1 week (2 weeks on wendesday). On my arms and legs I am getting lighter. I can see more yellow undertones. My face was lightening but the think is right now my (check) have like this filmy skin . Like you can feel the different texture of the skin on my cheeks compared to other skin.Other places on my face is tryint to peel like my chin and such but I figure my cheeks have thicker skin. I think I should continue to use my reg. Exflioate 2x a day and apply the cream/oil 2x. Is there any other sehggestions? I have seen pics of b.c users n there skin is nice and bright/whiter. I was thinking about trying the lotion and maybe see better results from that. Some advice, anyone? Thanks a lot.

Thanks for the suggestion TuuTuu. I have been using Tretinoin which has worked well for me but I have post-acne marks so I just visited my dermi the other day and she prescribed me Tri-Luma, which consists of tretinoin and 4% HQ. The only thing is it costs abut $200+ a pop. I'll see how that goes. In regards to Bio Claire again, it did not work well for me so I passed it on to my sister, and it really lightened and brightened her skin remarkably! I would say she is one shade lighter and very much brighter. So I cannot totally rule out Bio Clair for everyone because everyone's skin is different, even those with the same genes!

OMG I GOT MY FIRST COMPLIMENT YESTERDAY! I walked into the employees lounge at my job and my friend says " WHY YOU LOOK SO LIGHT?" my heart started beating fast lol and I started laughing I was like "I dont know girl, I guess my summer tan is fading" I know that was a stupid response but I had to think of something quick lol. OMG I wanted to cry because Ive used a lot of products and I mean a lot... and they were not cheap! And when I thought they were working, no one noticed it and people still called me dark. Myself esteem was so low! My face and neck was the darkest on my body and that really sucked! But then I found this little cheap stuff called Bio Claire and my in world changed. Im not darkskinned no more! I can't believe I just said that but its true, its so true. IM About TO CRY GIV ME A MINUTE...

Jo,
I have no idea about where b.o. claire is in the uk. I didn't want to be rude by not reading you question.
Hi guys,
I bought the lotion and the bio oil. Hopefully I see more results with these. I will use the oil lightly(because its too strong for my skin on my face) and use the lotion more. On my body I can actually see my skin on my arms back stomach getting a yellow undertone. My arms had a slight tan and its yellowing up. My stomach/back is the darkest place on my body and its starting to lighten up but its going to take a while. My face is starting to lighten in sreas my cheeks on my face are taking a while. Keep in mind its been 2 weeks going on 3 weeks(wednesday). I exflo with f&w soap(orange). It works you can see the brown lessening and the yellow increasing. Will update when more results are shown.

I seriously advise you to use a good exfiolating soap and the Bio Claire Lotion. Some people who seen bad results use the oil and the cream or used the oil lotion and cream at once or either mixed it.

Ok, I woke up this morning and the places on my face where it was brown is yellow. I love it! I use the oil on the body and face too but just a little because its really strong! I think I will use the oil/lotion at night and lotion in the monring. I have oily skin so this should slack on breaking me out.I can't wait until the summer time to see how yellow I get.

I've been using it for a few weeks now.. (haven't kept track of exactly how long).. have been consistently using the lotion only and I've seen results better than any other product I've used so far but it is a gradual change overall and still far from where I want to be. No complaints though, still lighter than I was. My hands use to be almost black...
I have ordered the cream and when it gets here going to try that- just on my body as some have mentioned it can cause you to break out.
Have NOT been able to find the oil.

Oh yeah, BIG MISTAKE. And to top it off I mixed it with the heavy cream! You know where this is going right? Breakout central. IMO the oil is used to moisturize the skin because I used it on my body and it made it so soft, but I also had some breakouts on my arm and I never breakout on my arm. I definitely would not recommend the oil for the face.
The cream and the oil have the same ingredients, so my only conclusion is that the oil made me breakout.

Hey everyone,I was interested in Bio Claire about a month ago,but I just HAD to do more research on this stuff,to make sure it was safe.somthing about it, just didn't seem right to me, from the description people have been posting about this "veiny look."This means it has a steroid in it. Even though it may have been doing good for some people, this product may cause damage in the long run.I think if you are still interested in purchasing it, you should actually got to a DOCTOR to see if it is OK for you to use & find out the ingridients in it! Hydroquinone is not the only dangerous chemical put in lighteners. I suggest papaya soap for anyone who wants to keep an even skin tone/brighten it.

That bottle of Bio Claire Lotion in that video is the fake one which has Hydroquinone in it and it says so on the bottle. I can tell because the girl is way lighter on the one with hydroquinone and she looks darker on the one with out. They did a comparison on the Bright Skin forum.

Bio Claire UpDate
Well as you know I been using the bio claire creame and oil, I put the oil first and then add the creame on top,and I shower with the soap.
After a week and half of using the bio claire... the darker parts of my body like the knees, butt etc... ARE SOO DRIED... that when I tries to walk to move around it hurts so bad like its pulling on the skin.. Ouch... so I'm laying off the BC rite now, and I'm moisterizing those spots with regular lotions... and its still hurting but not as bad. Im going to start using it again... when the crème finish imma go get the lotion.. because that cream and oil stuff is kind of too much for mah skin to handle...
Oh I don't use either products on my face... I use the bio claire soap on my face . I leave it on for like a min and wash it off... it kind of lightens it... I just want my face to get use to the product so when I start using it... it wudnt be too much stress on mah skin. :(
And remember I used the oil and cream together once a day and imagine how dry it made mah skin... wat if I was doing it 3 times a day like it says on the bottle? Oye!!
I also got a lot of red pimples all over mah chest and back : (
Anyway... I will update you guys on what more I notice while using this product!

Its very dry and feels like it needs to peel. I thought I was the only one. So should I apply less or stop for a min? I only use it 2x a day. Am- just the lotion. Pm- I mix the oil/lotion together. It'll be a month this week. I can wait until like 3-6 months. That's when you get really pale!

OMG, I am going through the same thing with the dry skin feeling like my skin is being pulled on. I feel it on the back of my legs, and sides of my stomach. Its very dry and feels like it needs to peel. I thought I was the only one. So should I apply less or stop for a min? I only use it 2x a day. Am- just the lotion. Pm- I mix the oil/lotion together. It'll be a month this week. I can wait until like 3-6 months. Thats when you get really pale!
Hey Hun, to help wit the dry skin feeling like it is being pulled on I bought the Fair and white exfoilating soap... and IT really works... like it peels out all da unwanted skin and gives you a nice glow... I suggest you get it (its cost like 10 dollars) for the dry skin.

When I firsted bought bio claire products, I got the crème, oil and soap. I mix both the oil and crème and put it on once a day... I gave me the red bumpy pimples on mah chest and made my skinn realli dry. ( I used the fair and white soap to help with the dry skin and it was Awsome!. lolz)
Now I got the Lotion since they finish and to me the lotion works really good and works faster.
I think the crème is a waste of money and time, the lotion is not so thick and it moisterize the skin better.
I have lighten like maybe a shade or 2 and it has even out my complection. ( and I have onli been using it once a day for like 2 and half weeks now).
O yeeah, I plan on using The nutrogena Sunscreen SPF 55 or Aveeno Sunscreen SPF 55 (both of these sunscreen are waterproof) cause its not greasy, it is very light weight and good... so I suggest you guys do the same, even if its in the winter make sure you put the sunscreen on before you go out .
I Put it on and put my make up over it. Good combo.
Another word of advice: Don't ever USE Skin Lightners continusly for over 3 months... alwys lay off it and give your skin some time to heal and able to breath.
Make sure you stop lay off it for like 2 days of the week and use a good moisterizer like Cerave lotion because that don't block your pores and it repairs the skin. :)
Last night I put some of the lotion on my face, because the rest of my body has lightened up. And my neck... looks ligher dan my face lolz...
But I am so scare... it works on my body. But do you think its going to give me side effects on my face?
Has anyone use da lotion on their face?
Did you break out? Get the red pimples on your face? Or the veiny look on your face? ( I got acne prone skin :(.

I know I'm probably talking to myself since my questions have gotten no responses but... The first time around I used this I noticed I got random bruises on my neck and upper back but I disregarded them as careless scratches on my part... now this is the second go around for me and I have another bruise on my neck and one on my cheek, so it has become evident to me that this is thinning my skin... ugh... the cream is going in the trash IMO

Hey I think you should use the lotion instead of the cream because its not so heavy and strong. I used to use the crème but it was to greasy and dried mah skin like crazy. I got the lotion and I'm seeing better results, my skin is not so dry and it is lightening faster. (I use the lotion on my body not my face, but I will start soon because I hear the face lighten really fast so that's y I worked on my body first) Hope that help:)

Thanks for the advice tuutuu, I have already started your suggestion, I'm just so confused as to why both the lotion and the cream list the same ingredients in the same order, but they are two different consistencies and work differently... odd. Maybe they use different measurements in the crème...

Tuutuu the combination of the oil crème and lotion broke me out, I have acne prone skin as well, but the lotion didn't really break my sister out, and the only side effects you should probably look out for is streaking/unevenness so make sure you apply evenly and be sure to notice if your skin starts to thin out... hope that helps.

You have a point there, But you can tell like by just comparing the crème and lotion, the lotion is more like "softer n a lil more watery" lolz, dan the crème which is like thick and doesn't doesn't really moisterize the skin so well. As I said before, the crème made my skin dry and icchy but since I started using the lotion (I don't mix it with anything) I have seen that my skin is not so dry no more. For me the lotion is sort of fixing what damage da crème did. That's y I decided to put the lotion on my face:)
This is how I plan on using the Lotion on my face:
1) Put lotion on
Wash off in the morning
2)Put a lot of moisterizer ( Cereva Lotion) for 2 whole dayz. to prevent overdrying and uneven ness.
3) IF I go out, Use Sunscreen with SPF 55
4) Lotion again ( Then repeat step 2-3)

Hey peoples can confirm bio-claire is safe and effective been using it for a while now
I'm very light skin like ashanti colour looking natural as hell however it doesn't lighten the hands all to well but nevertheless no one product no hydroquinon so no skin ageing
Plus bio claire doesn't thin the skin
By the way bio-claire gives spots on the face you gots to use something else I'm using a hydroquiinne based product 3-4 a week on my face (evenings only)

Hi I read some a research paper from 2006 stating that Bioclaire contains tropical steroids.
Is this still the case? I know that Tropical steroids thins the skin after prolong used. Is anyone 100% sure bioclaire does or doesn't contain tropical steroids. I read of this forum of people getting strenth marks? Is that the case from some or many. - I'm still to unsure about this product.

I think that if you just mixed bio claire with a lot of lotion it would be less harmful to your skin. It would take a longer time for your skin to lighten, but it's more safe because the chemicals would be more diluted.

I've switched from Lotion to Oil+Cream combination. I prefer the latter. It is making my skin smooth and soft and lightening it.
Question for those have used the products for sometime.. do you suggest to stop using it once I've achieved the color I want or is it necessary to keep using it to maintian the color?
(sigh, I've got meds that make me photosensitive that I think make me darker in the sun.. im afraid to take them again... )

Hi bio claire won't ligten your hands babe I had the same problem now I appply the cream with surgical gloves and cream my hands with moisture then apply a concentrated solution to my knuckles and elbows

Yep the label is the same, in the box was a leaflet with all the bio claire produts on which told you what the products do and how often to use them, Bio claire has a new range called Bio claire Maxi tone. They have it in the body milk and cream. It doesn't contain HQ as it says on the box without hydroquinon.

I messaged you about where you can get the Arbutin cream. The lady that sells them does and day and night cream. It has lightenend me a bit, not too much. It is preservative free so you've got to keep it in the fridge. I've been using it on & off because the cream is too rich and I'm suffering from regular acne breakouts lately (Stress at work). :(

At the moment I'm using an arbutin cream I got off eBay. It's not *that* expensive. Just type in Skin Bright lightening. It's like under £5. But I've used it on and off because of my acne. It has worked good. I would have probably got better results if I use it everyday.
I also use a high SPF everyday by No7. It's called "Anti Dark Spot Facial sunscreen" or something like that, it's SPF50. It's really good, doesn't block the pores.

Get a very good sun block very quick, you have to partner your whitening creams with a very good sunblock at least SPF 30.
Skin that is treated with whitening agents (melanin suppressants) or bleaching agents is very sensitive to heat/sun/uv you can get this outside or even while cooking in your kitchen, in front of a computer or TV screen. A good sunblock is necessary to prevent your skin from overreacting in producing melanin resulting to hyper pigmentation.
No whitening / lightening cream can be effective without proper skin care, your best defense for that beautiful velvety skin is a sunblock and a lot of Vit-C

Nope, but a saw a lot of people write that the cream and oil are the strongest. I would suggest diluting the cream with regular lotion so it's not as strong. I've read a lot of posts and I think the main reason why people have so many bad side effects is because they use something strong to try to lighten their skin quickly, but the best thing I think is to lighten gradually. I remember one person who mixed both oil and cream with lotion and other stuff and didn't have any problems. You can always goggle remedies too. That's what I'm doing for now because I only want to lighten parts of my body that have become dark and uneven. I'm just doing some research before I use creams on my skin.

Hello Davon.
Where did you purchase your Bio Claire Products?
I just do not want to order from just anyone online.
Thank you in advance.

If I use BioClaire on the face will it cause aggravate my acne and cause blackheads? Also, which version of BioClaire would be best to use on my oily, acne-prone face?

Also, I don't want to lighten much. Just even my skin tone and maybe lighten just about a shade or two lighter. So what form of BioClaire should I use for that?

I've used because 4 about a month but saw no result but in its defence I was in the sun for allot of time. So I started using it again. This is day one and ill keep you updated.
I am very dark skinned does that mean it would take longer to work?
Is the soap any good?

Depends on what type of results you are looking for do you want to lighten like 5-6 shades or 1-2 shades?

Hi
For those of yuou in the Uk, where do you get your bio claire from? I used to find it on ebay, but I can't find it on there anymore :-(. Anyone know of a website or a store I can get it from?
Thanx guys.
I got mine from any shop in peckham (south london) and it was only like £3.50
