(x+3) (x-4) = 0
One or both factors must be equal to 0
x + 3 = 0 gives x = -3
x + 4 = 0 gives x = -4
Either x = -3 or x = 4
SO, QUESTION COULD BE:
Find a number x such that its value can be either -3 or 4.
