    Sex with your roomates ex?
I'm in a dilemma... that I caused myself. I've had sex with one person and it was my best friends roommate. Only once.. because I realized I didn't love him. Quite a while later me and my best friend of four years got blown out of our mind and decided to have sex... random but I think I had been thinking about it for a while now, since my feelings for him had progressed over the years and I couldn't hide it that night I guess. Sad to say my first and him live together. So we have not talked since... he avoids me and when he sees me he acts like a perverted . I don't know what to do? Its been six months and we've talked about it once and ended up making up and hooking up after and then he got a girlfriend the next day... he's taking me for a loop... should I even bother with the friendship anymore? I'm almost ready to just give up and never talk to him again... and I never thought I'd say this but I think I'm starting to hate him. Any ideas...

There's no need to hate him. You did those things together. It was completely mutual. Even his follow-up behavior is perfectly understandable based on what you two did.

You took a great friendship an screwed it up, pun intended. There's no going back, it changed. More than likely you need to find a new best friend for the coming years, and possibly minimize your contact with this guy because it's going to be awkward and inappropriate from now on. At least that's what I hear you already saying.

Don't get melodramatic about it. Take responsbility and don't act like sex is meaningless. It is many things, but meaningless it is NOT. Even sex with strangers has an effect on you, a bad one.

Consider on your own if sex is really a recreational activity you benefit from over the long run. If you're not in the middle of something with someone while having this self-examination, you may be surprised at your conclusion, especially if you're actually honest about it.

Good luck on your next group of best friend(s).

You really need to stop this friendship hope, and move on. Okay you screwed up, and he got hurt. Leave him alone, that's the bottom line.
