Are they just normal pimples/acne on your face?

    Or in/on your genitals?

What makes you think its related to sex?

It is on my face only, not in genitals. It is my observation that acne increases after sex and my face becomes ugly after intercourse. I consulted to many doctors and after many treatments, the problem remain unsolved. I never told to doctor that these acne increases suddenly after sex. Since this problem is not directly related to sex.

You need to tell your doctors about the increase in outbreaks after intercourse. It may help them figure out what is triggering the outbreaks. It could be any number of causes from hormones to a sensitivty to sweat or something that you are using or consuming when you have sex.

You might, instead of consulting a dermatologist, discuss this with your gynecologist.

Are you taking birth control of any sort?

In many woman, acne breakouts are linked to hormones--you may have an increase of specific hormones after sex.

    Talk to your gynecologist.

I am a man. I am using best available skin care products for face, most of them was recommended by my doctors but my experience shows that pimples suddenly increases after intercourse or masturbation. I think also that it is related to hormonal change. But why it is for me?? I do not find the solution. I am getting depressed. Thanks to all for the help and suggestions.

My apologies for making assumptions on your gender.

You may need to talk to a family doctor. I don't know that a urologist could necessarily help you with this. I do think that your hormonal levels should be checked out, though.

Maybe it isn't actually the sex that is doing the harm? Maybe it's the hot and sweaty part that is harming the skin? Do you have greasy acne or dry acne? Maybe the salt it drying out your skin. Try washing your face with hot then cold warter to clean then close the pors. Also you could try changing the bed sheets after sex. I mean any dirtyness on a pillow case is going to get rubbed into your face all night :S

Ahh just read you were a guy, Sorry :S

Ok we I actually had this problem when I was younger and that is why I answerd. And even though the stuff I listed before helped it wasn't the calse of the problem.

What you should try is Zinc capsuals! Zinc is used in the production of sperm but its also good for skin. This worked for me so good luck.

Correlation, causation, coincidence. Three ways that two events might be linked.

Correlation. Drug abuse and crime. Drug abuse doesn't cause crime, and crime doesn't cause drug abuse, but there is a connection between drug abuse and crime.

Causation. Cause and affect.I am allergic to peanuts. Eating peanuts will kill me. Cause and effect.

Coincidence. I have a mailbox on my door, and have not been attacked by wolves. Mere coincidence.

So, what you telling your doctors is that it is coincidental that you breakout shortly after you have sex. What you're telling us is that sex causes you to break out but it is a coincidence.

Does this happen when you masturbate as well?

Chances are you have some sort of hormonal problem. Some of the hormones that are released during sex is causing something weird to happen with your pores. Probably over production of oil.

I don't know if there is an easy solution to this problem.

When you talk to a doctor about a problem, you need to tell them all the pertinent information; even if it is embarrassing. If you don't give them all the information than they might miss what is causing the problem.

Yes it increases after masturbation also. That's why I have stopped any sexual activity(no intercourse and no masturbation) from last few months. It is some how easy for me since I am not married. I am very much worried since I am getting married soon and whet will happen after that.

I keep maintain hygiene and take good food. I have tried all my efforts to solve this. Some time pimples remain in control, as I have said before, it is my observation that it suddenly increases after masturbation. I have consulted many doctors, they prescribed many medicines and treatments etc. One time I faced the side effect of medicine also(my face was become sensitive to sun rays). Now I am afraid, what should I do? Please help me.

    Thanks a lot.

One more thing I want to share. I feel that nocturnal emission do not increase my pimples but any sexual activity like masturbation stimulate the acne and pimples. I think that is related to hormonal change. I want to get rid of this problem. Please suggest me if you have any solution.
