    How do I find my adopted granddaughter
    My granddaughter was adopted out after being born 20 Sept. 1980 or 1981. I know the name of the hospital. How can I find her?

    There are several web sites where adopted children and their bio families can go to register their desire to hook up. A few of those are mentioned in threads here.

    If you know the agency that handled the adoption (the hospital may know it) you can contact them to see if its possible to determine the adoptive parents.

    Another alternative is hiring a private detective.
