    How to adopt a child if other parent says no?
    I have been taking care of my wife daughter since she was two months and she doesn't she her bio father at all

    You cannot adopt the child without the written consent of the father.

    As I recall in one State a PROLONGED lack of contact constitutes abandonment.

    What State?

    How old is the child?

    Is the father on the birth certificate?
