There is a little girl who has been placed in foster care. I know her and would like to have her. I have two boys one of who is the same age as the little girl. They would love to have a sister. I am not kind to her but know about the situation she is in. She has a sister and brother, the mom gave them all over to social services, and they were split up in to different homes. This little girl needs a loving environment and I would love to give it to her. There is a few problems, I don't have the money to go see a lawyer. I also don't know what the income requirements are in the state of NC. I hope someone out there can help me look for this information, I have been researching this all day. I will be very thankful if anyone can help me. Thanks in advance.

I would contact child protection services about her.

If YOU are not currently the foster parent, you may need to file to be one before you can actually adopt. It's completely depended on the laws in your state, so contacting a lawyer wouldn't hurt either.

Remember, the little girl may NOT be adoptable. If the mother has not terminated her parental rights or if she hasn't had them terminated by the courts, there may be specific things she can do to get her children back--and there's nothing that you can do to stop that short of proving that BOTH of the biological parents are unfit.

Talk to your local social services department and talk to a lawyer about your options.
