Adoption - is there anything he can do?
One of my friends has a girl 6 months pregnant and he is wanting her to give the baby up for adoption. They are not married, just friends, they are both single. She tells him that she doesn't want to give it up for adoption. Is there anything he can do?

No it is her choice not his. He cannot force her to have her baby adopted just because he doesn't want it. He will have to help support that baby for the next 18 years. He should have thought about all this before he went to bed with her!

Well, considering that it's the female who is the one who gives birth, maybe she should have thought a little harder about premarital sex than he did.

That is an incredibly immature attitude to have! It takes two to make a baby, if he didn't want a child so badly it is his job to make sure one isn't conceived, not rely on her to do it! Its not about premarital sex, its about contraception. Anyone who relies solely on their sexual partner to prevent pregnancy has no right to start moaning when the inevitable happens. They should be looking after their own interests first.
