Will I fail my EtG test?
I am a female healthcare professional in a monitoring program; I am--was :-(--close to six months sobriety. I have had an excellent recovery and sobriety thus far. Saturday I was going through a cabinet to find something and encountered one of those tiny bottles of hard liquor (tequila.. I am guessing 40% alcohol) it is one of those bottles that probably only has two shots. Anyway, it was an automatic reaction, I didn't even think about it. I am just grateful that there was no more of it, I couldn't have had more alcohol even if I wanted to. I could not fathom it, after all this hard-won sobriety. And I felt like crap afterwards... so discouraging and disappointing. The positive thing is that there is no way in hell I am doing that again. I got nothing from it and truly have no desire to drink--If I flirted with the idea occasionally, this situation has remedied that.
Anyway, the small bottle was at around 2:30pm on Saturday. I test randomly, and likely I will test Monday or Tuesday. If I test Monday, I am very worried it will be positive. I do not know the cutoff EtG level--it is quest diagnostics. If it is 100 I am worried I will test positive Monday or Tuesday. If it is 500 then I feel better it will be a negative test if on Tuesday.
I kind of just want to come clean to my monitoring agency, but I have given them quite the run around over these last 10 months and they will not let me have even one slip-up... I know they will recommend inpatient treatment again (I have already completed over four months of that this year, and I am in an extended outpatient treatment currently).
I guess I am just trying to get a little bit of hope that I will somehow pass.
I am caucasian, healthy liver, 36 years old, 5 feet tall exactly, and I weigh 105 lbs. I am fit and muscular. I run 5-6 miles six days per week.
I take B vitamins daily (although internet info is confusing on that subject)
is there anything else I can realistically do to pass.
Thank you so much for your help.

You wrote all kinds of stuff but didn't give us enough details...you said you drank it at 2:30 on Saturday but may test on Monday or Tuesday....but what time? You have a good chance of passing but it is possible that you will fail.

You said that if you fail, they will likely put you on inpatient again....not to be mean but it does sound like you may need this. If you stumbled across a bottle and your very first reaction was to pop it and drink it, then the temptation is still there. You say you learned from this but what happens next time you come across a bottle? This is not good and you obviously know that. I hope you can stay strong and make the right decisions if ever faced with this again.
