You don't get "false positives" If you are prohibited from consuming alcohol... it means in all its forms... not just drinking it in the usual forms. Using alcohol free mouthwash and toiletries.. alcohol free formulations of medications etc...

I guess you can add "some mints, gum, cough drops, or tobacco" to list of what people are going to start being prohibited from in order to satisfy these perfectly accurate machines made by private industry.. I didn't know tobacco contained ethyl alcohol but I guess the list is never ending :) ** link edited out

The burden of knowing what all to avoid is on the person being tested. One must take the time to carefully read labels when your freedom might be at risk.

And those aren't "False" positives... they are real positives. When you are being tested for alcohol use.. it doesn't matter what the source is. Which is what some people think... I am not allowed to drink beer, but I can swill as much hand sanitizer, cough syrup or mouthwash as I can and just blame it on that. Reality is... a fail is a fail. Way too many excuses , way too many people telling lies... thus no excuses... no stories.

There are alcohol free formulations of everything if you take the time and look for them. Medications can be ordered in alcohol free formulation as well. Failing to find them and use them is not a get out of jail free card...

Sure that was by a Law firm...they make more money by dragging cases out as long as they can. Whats a few thousand more out of your pocket to try a claim no court will accept as an excuse? So many excuses have been used over and over ad-nauseum that none are believed any longer.

Whats that old saying....Caveat Emptor? Let the buyer beware?
