    ETG500 and Alcohol fumes?
I take ETG500 tests. My job requires me to use a respirator, which is cleaned using alcohol wipes. What is the likelihood that these alcohol wipes could trigger an etg500? I'm 180lbs 5'9". Used alcohol wipes on my respirator, inhaled fumes less than 48 hours before my ETG500.

It should go without saying that you should avoid the fumes as much as possible because, while a small amount, they do get into your blood stream via your lungs. This is due diligence on your part to remain alcohol free and sober.

That being said, the amount of alcohol in those wipes as well as the amount that would be put into your blood stream because of this incident shouldn't be enough to cause a positive result. This is dependent on how your body metabolises alcohol and how long EtG/EtS stays in your system.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, but I would give the respirator a moment or two for the alcohol to completely evaporate before putting it on.

I agree, you SHOULD give the respirator time to dry out, and evaporate the alcohol fumes before you use it, even though they probably would have NO EFFECT at all on your EtG levels on test day.
