I heard that there is a alcohol test that can test back 10 days. Is that true? I drink a few beers a day. I'm a female weighing 210. Thanks!

10 days as far as a urine/blood test? Absolutely not.
80-100 hours at the most. And that is pushing it.

EtG tests can detect up to "80" hours.. but otherwise nothing. There is no way that your urine would show up to ten days. But I have heard that many people are told that by lawyers/probation officers as a scare tactic.

My sources are hours and days of paranoid search myself.

If there is a reason you shouldn't drink.. its not worth the paranoia to drink.. as I've found out in a good way.

Daydreamer89 is right.

Breath tests offer the shortest "look-back" window, followed by urine, blood, and hair/fingernail in that order. Generally, the farther the "look-back", the greater the consumption has to be to fail the test. Also, I believe the tests that look back the farthest are the more expensive to run, so the testing authority has to be motivated to be looking that in-depth.

A basic urine screening for alcohol will show positive for up to 24-36 hours after drinking. I believe the basic test is simply looking for traces of alcohol itself. As your body processes alcohol, it makes a substance called EtG. An enhanced urine screening (using EtG for detection) will show positive in your urine for about 3-4 days, on average. I believe I once read that the farthest back one study detected alcohol was 112 hours or about 4 1/2 days.

Blood tests (such as Peth testing) may look back 3-6 weeks. (Many sources mention 2-3 weeks but moderate to heavy consumption may show up 4 or more weeks later, from my research and personal experience.)

Hair and nail testing will show positive for 3-6 months for alcohol.

The safest thing is -- just don't drink --- if you are under some sort of monitoring program from the legal system or an employer that prohibits you from ingesting alcohol. If you are tempted, think about the consequences you will face.
