Can I pass a 100ng EtG test after 65 hours?
I'm a 34 year old female. 110 lbs. I drank 6 glasses of wine and 1 beer Friday starting at 2 p.m. And having my last drink around 11:30 p.m. I have to take an 100ng EtG 65 hours after my last drink (Monday). Will I be able to pass?

7 drinks across 9 hours, at your weight could have resulted in BAC of .13. That would require about 8 hours for alcohol elimination leaving 57 hours for EtG clearance.

That is enough time in about 80% of cases. Safe would seem to be about 65-70 hours from BAC=0. You are in an area where you could test positive but the odds are in your favor.

Thank you for your response. Would taking a creatine supplement increase those chances? Also, does drinking lots of water truly effect the results?

A creatinine supplement would be counter-productive. The more concentrate your urine the higher the level of EtG.

One of the many flaws of this test, according to research, is that EtG is water soluble and diuresis does influence the results. (Goll 2002, et al)

Interesting. I know that the interenet is not a very reliable source for facts, but what about some of the other factors that say can help pass an ETG test? For example, I've read about taking Niacin, drinking protein shakes, 1 C of vinegar, and even consuming a bleach soaked piece of paper towel. Maybe I am skeptical, but I was skeptical about drinking lots of water too.

I'm not planning on doing any of those things. I'm truly interested.

I would recommend ignoring all of the above although I am not an expert on defeating drug tests. The bleach idea, I'm advised, is a common method of adulterating a test and is easily detected. Vinegar is apt to create EtG and EtS, depending on type. Most drugs and compounds are apt to compete with liver enzymes thereby slowing metabolism.

The main thing to keep in mind when subjected to EtG testing is that it is unreliable and unpredictable. The only safe method for dealing with this test is to avoid alcohol in any form. Virtually an impossible task.

You might pass a test after a wild drunk and the next test you fail because of inhaling too deeply while putting gas in your car.
