I saw a previous co-worker today and I know she has done drugs in the past. When I saw her, she was frail looking and her face was completely broken out in scabs worse than any pimple could do... her entire face! I don't see her on a regular basis so maybe I am over reacting but I worry as she has kids to take care of. She did lose her job and I don't know if she is working yet. I don't see her very often so should I be concerned about her? How about the kids? It just seemed really strange to me. I will say her youngest son looked healthy and happy. Being a mom of four, I just want to make sure her kids are taken care of! Please help me with any info!

Yes one sign of meth use is constant picking at skin which creates small scabs. It's not enough to say conclusively of course there are many other reasons for her to have scabs on her face. Skin dieases (psoriasis, eczema ect) maybe she went rollerblading and fell? Who knows. If you really want to be a friend, I would do just that, ask her out for lunch or stop by her house to chat, see if the house and kids are safe.
But to your original question; signs of meth use are inability to focus where there wasn't preiously, paranoia, itching, picking at the skin, tooth decay and blackening (they can even fall out with long term use) twitches, delusions, hallucinations, either weight loss or weight gain (typically weight loss) and a few others...

Thanks so much for the info. I actually don't see this person very often any longer so it will be very tricky to figure out what I should do next. I will talk to a few other of us that use to work with her and see what their thoughts are. Thanks again!
