1 bottle of wine in 3 nights.
If someone has a bottle of wine (regular bottle, liter?) maybe 3 to 4 glasses? Over a period of 3 nights, I'm thinking a glass a night or a glass and 1/4. Is that a problem? Should they seek help? Should they be ostracized?

What are their other drinking habits other days/nights?

I know I am not much of a drinker but I might occasionally have a bottle in a couple nights and then not touch a drop for another 6 months or 2 yrs or longer.

Oh, dear girl... that is NOTHING!!

When a person has a bottle or two a night, that is something to scratch your head about.

Not always, but similar. A glass a night sometimes 2. But not every night.

I call that relaxation, not addiction. :p

So then, my next question would be... Is he messing with me? Is he insane?
What would be his reason for making a point about a regular bottle of wine in the recycle after 3 nights when he was out of town? I have seen him drink beer, maybe 2, which is almost the same alcohol content.

So you are saying he is telling you you drink too much?
Sounds like he is trying to be controlling.
Does he get goofy on other things you do too?

Yes, but I don't really want to discuss that, I just wanted to make sure I didn't have a problem.
I can handle things I understand, as long as I know the bottom line.
    Thanks:)

Does this use of alcohol cause them money, legal, health, or family problems? If so, it's a problem. This might seem harsh but its true. They would only need to seek help if they could not stop this nightly habit.

I doubt OP has that problem.
She is just wondering because someone is trying to lay a guilt trip on her.

Sounds like this person in manipulative and controlling. If it were me, I'd throw that fish back.. There are plenty of GOOD fish in the sea.

No money or health issues or family problems are of any concern, it is just as I thought. A controlling issue, which I am used to.
    But Thanks.:)

Sorry if my comment came off as snide...

What I was saying is that you don't have a problem with drinking. You have a problem with your guy. Or more specifically, your guy has a problem with you and its not drinking.

    I missed your comment.
I think she was referring to my rather rhetorical question on does she have any other control issues from him.
I know I am sort of in the same boat with my boyfriend. He isn't controlling but he drives me crazy and I just deal with him. I know what I got myself into too.
