    In what context?

    The formula for interest dollar amount is principal x rate x time.

    But the number that actually shows up in the expense account itself may not be that same number, depending on the circumstances. So you're going to have to be more specific.

    (You can easily not be aware that this can applied in different ways. But from my point of view, I don't know what you're doing.)
