    Question: Prepare a production cost report for the Assembly Department.
    (Given the information below)

    Estrella Company has several processing departments. Costs charged to the Assembly Department for November 2012 totaled $3,338,658 as follows.

    Work in process, November 1
    Materials $70,160
    Conversion costs 48,030 $118,190
    Materials added 2,236,024
    Labor 221,020
    Overhead 763,424


    Production records show that 36,400 units were in beginning work in process 24% complete as to conversion costs, 700,400 units were started into production, and 29,000 units were in ending work in process 49% complete as to conversion costs. Materials are entered at the beginning of each process.
