    Journal Entries
    Problem:
Sold chairs for $25,563,000. Of that, $4,587,000 had not been paid as of Dec 31. Would I journalize it as follows?

    Cost of Goods Sold 25563000
    Finished Goods Inventory 25563000 (credit)
    Cash 20976000
    Sales 20976000 (credit)

You do not have enough information for Cost of Goods Sold.

Your accounts to record the sale should be:
Sales Revenue for the total amount of sale
Cash for amount of cash received
Accounts Receivable for the amount due (difference between the sales revenue and cash received because debits must equal credits).
