    501 c 3 spending
Hi all, I'm on the board of a very small 501 c 3. Recently a board member died and the board members want to buy flowers with funds raised. Is this allowed? How about spending money on a party for the board as a thank you? They are not compensated in any way.

Yes, it's OK, as long as the non profit can show if audited that most of the funds raised go to the cause they exist for.
