Don't know the title or artist
The song was from the late 80s to mid 90s, not really sure where in that era. It sounded like something that should be in an Austin Powers movie, but it wasn't. It was mostly instrumental with a female voice monologging every so often with (and not an exact quote) "I've seen you are, I kinda like you, would you like to have sex with me". I've been searching for this song for months. Any ideas?

I've found the one I was looking for but it's quite recent so probably not what you want, but any case... the one I wanted is called 'Tango in Harlem' by Touch and Go.

Hi again, Touch and Go recorded the song you're after... I hope. It's called I Find You Very Attractive but is sometimes listed as Would you like to go to bed with me. If you look at the nusic on Amazon .com (or Amazon.co.uk) their music is listed there.

I am looking for the title of an old song. The lyrics that I know are

"In 1814 we took a little trip down the Col Jackson on the mighty Missip,
We took a little bacon and we took a little beans

Does anyone know the rest of this song?

    Lonnie Donegan »
    Battle Of New Orleans Chord

Battle of New Orleans Lonnie Donegan

(spoken: ) Well, this here's the story of the Battle of New Orleans,
which was fit between Yankees a coast and the English people,
in which the British came off rather ignominiously.

    C F
    1. Well, in 1814, we took a little trip,
along with Colonel Packenham down the mighty Mississipp.
We took a little bacon and we took a little beans,
and we fought the bloomin British in the town of New Orleans

    C
Well, we fired our guns and the British kept a comin',
    G C
there wasn't nigh as many as there was a while ago.

We fired once more and they began a running,
    G C
on down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico.

    C F
    2. Well, we looked down the river till we see the British come,
    G C
there must have been a hundred of 'em beatin' on the drum.
    F
They stepped so high and they made the bugles ring,
    G - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
well, we stood beside our cotton bales and never said a thing.

    + CHORUS

    C F
    3. Well, Packenham said we could take them by surprise,
    G C
if we didn't fire a musket till we looked `em in the eyes.
    F
Well, we stood quite still till we see their face well,
    G - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
then we opened up our muskets and we really gave them well.

    C
Well, we fired our guns and the British kept a comin',
    G C
there wasn't nigh as many as there was a while ago.

We fired once more and they began a running,
    G C
on down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico.

    C F
    4. Well, they ran through the briars and they ran through the brambles,
    G C
and they ran through the bushes where the rabbits couldn't go.
    F
They ran so fast that the hounds couldn't catch them,
    G C
all down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico.

    + CHORUS

    C F
    5. Well, we fired our muskets so the barrels melted down,
    G C
then grabbed an alligator and we fought another round.
    F
Well, we stuffed his head with cannon balls and powdered his behind,
    G - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
so when we touched the powder off, the 'gator lost his mind.

    C G C
+ CHORUS Down the Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico. (4x)
