    What to do?
Two nations share a common border. One of the nations is mired in poverty because of being chronically misgoverned while the other is run quite well. Predictably, the poor nation's people want to move to the more prosperous nation, so they have begun simply walking across the border rather than taking the legal route. What do you suppose the more prosperous nation should do?

Well, we don't have to wonder about it in this case. The Dominican Republic is in the business of building a 100 mile long security wall across much of its border with Haiti. It will be 13 feet tall and topped with wire. They seem to have the idea that the idea of eliminating the great part of illegal gun and drug smuggling as well as illegal immigration is a really good idea.

Wonder why we don't come up with something like that?

We actually have about 400 miles of border wall. Unsurprisingly, there are very few crossings there. Go figure!!

Turkey is in the process of rounding up Syrian illegals and sending them back across the border . And those migrants probably have legitimate refugee reasons .

Can we connect with various countries' leaders and help them figure out how to calm down their populace so they don't want to leave?

The only nation we have more than negligible control over is the United States. The only borders we can control are our own. The only way to control our border is to build a wall.

Yup Then he blames the Repubs for the border crisis he claims we don't have. This appears to be their standard response. I don't know how they think it works for them .Who do you believe ;me or your lying eyes ?

Lucas Tomlinson on X: "Before departing for Camp David, I asked President Biden if the situation on the southern border is a crisis. "No," Biden replied. "I have been pushing them – my Republican colleagues since they got in office. I think we have to make major changes to the border."" / X (twitter.com)

Even the full 55 million wouldn't make much of a dent in the problem. But they can be sure of one thing. "If we build it, then they will come."

In the meantime, the "estimated 4,200 homeless people in the state" will remain homeless unless, of course, they are lucky enough to have entered the country illegally.
