Kenmore dryer takes to long to dry clothes
I have a kenmore 90 series dryer that takes way to long to dry clothes. The vents are free from lint and I have replaced the cycling thermostat. The heating element seems to work fine but I don't think the dryer is getting hot enough

Let's ask another question... how well wrung out are the clothes coming from your washing machine? Oftentimes, people think the problem is in the dryer. In fact, I'm replacing a slipping belt on my washer tomorrow, for this exact reason.

Do this, next washload, run an additional spin (damp dry on some models) cycle on you washing machine before putting the clothes in the dryer. Just spin the timer around to "damp dry", start it up and let it spin them again.

Now dry them, does that make the dry cycle more reasonable? If not, we'll go back and look at the dryer.

    Regards,

    Diagnostic Guide Link
I found service tech diagnostic guides (PDF format) during an online search. This includes instructions on putting the dryer into test mode in order to check switches, etc. Here are the links:

My Kenmore 800 dryer with evenheat takes a long time to dry my cloaths. The cloths are well rung out. I think it is the heating element that is not working right but not sure. Can you suggest what I should do? Thanks
