    Political Mess!
So is anyone else getting tired of all the lip movement with very little action? I sure am!

I watched the State of the Union tonight, and I serioulsy just can't take it. Why is our government focusing on such huge issues? Like electric cars?? Really? That's all fine and dandy, but unfortunately those electric cars aren't going to be available to Joe-Shmoe who drives everywhere.. Instead, they'll be stock piled in some billionaires garage as a collectors item. Its stupid.

Our gov't needs to get with the picture and take care of "home" first. The war is a complete disaster and is costing us money EVERY minute of the day. Money we don't have to spend. We are never going to bring peace to a country that has been at war for hundreds of years. Its completely retarded that we think we can do that.

Everyone complains about the national deficit... yet, who comes up with any GOOD ideas to bring it down? Seriously, our gov't should be hosting a bake sale... OR SOMETHING! Yes, our national debt has doubled with Obama, but, all good business owners should know, that it costs money to make money. But in the US situation, no money is coming back into it. Its all being fliddled away in other countries.

This countries biggest expense.. WELFARE! Welfare needs to be controlled. My idea.. you have 5 years of your ADULT LIFE to get your $H!T together.. If you just sit on your butt and watch Judge Judy and beat your kids, then, I'm sorry.. but your done. Welfare should also not equal to a $10/hr paying job. It should be bare minimum... It should also not be cut off if there is a job enhancement until that job is stable. Sometimes, a $2 raise just isn't enough to put food on the table. I don't know about all of you, but I'm tired of paying for Shaniqua's 8 kids from 8 different daddies.. Its really starting to get on my nerves!

The repub. Party also needs to find another way to campaign. All that party really does it hit the emotional side of Americans... Abortion and Gay Marriage should be the least of anyone's worries. There are bigger fish to fry.

My opinion on gay marriage --- Do what you want on your own time. I'm sure 80% of the "gays" are doing it as a rebellious statement anyway. Are there really that many gay people in the US alone? I doubt it.

My opinion on Abortion --- If you can handle the emotional toll on your mental health and body, then go for it. Its not hurting me none. Do I believe it should be another form of birth control? Heck no! If you are constantly in the clinic, then something needs to be done.

Health Care :) --- Everyone deserves some type of health care. Maybe not provide the crème of the crop health care to everyone, but give some of the little guys a bone. They deserve to have their illnesses cared for without creating foreclosure. Its ridiculous how much health care costs...

Call me a socialist if you wish.. but think about it. Human Beings cannot function with "freedom" Our country is the "land of the free" and its just falling apart. We need a president that is going to walk the line of both Democratic and Republican opinions. Neither party can take over the house/senate/presidency. Look at all the issues coming about due to it! Its out of control! Human being love being told what to do. We love to stand in lines and love to be told what/how/where and price of EVERYTHING. It makes us feel comfortable. And right now, this chaos is creating a lot of problems.. No jobs, Crappy Health Care Coverage, Low Paying Jobs, Increase in products, This war is draining us dry... But, in 20 or so years, we'll have a car we can plug in...

My boyfriend is very much a Repub. I... well, I walk that line. But I'm starting to want to sit down. Recently, the gov't announced they are going to be attacking Fed. Funding and jobs. Federal jobs should always be Crème of the Crop jobs.. They deserve their jobs, they deserve their pension and they deserve their pay. My dad works for the Fed. Govt.. So this issue is hitting home. But don't think that one bad thing has made me feel the way I do.. I have been thinking this way for a LONG time.. Its just retarded how everything is... RETARDED!

I am not much on words, but until the people start treating the politicians as employees u will have nothing but problems. Once they are elected, they do as they want not the will of the people. When the government was formed, being a politician was not a job but a service to the country.

To get it back to that, the people have to stop voting the same jerks back into office. When the politicians see that they will not keep getting in, they may start doing what is right.

They have written the laws to exclude them. Stop voting party lines and if they can't do something for us in first term, get rid of them.

I've been voting for 40 plus years and have never voted for the incumbent. They had their chance and failed.

Political Correctness [ 3 Answers ]

I think it is unfortunate that excessive political correctness is killing comedy and satire. Free speech is in the constitution, yet you can't make jokes that have even the slightest chance of offending some group somewhere. I think that people need to lighten up and not be offended so easily....
