    Private # not private
    I have been paying my phone company $5.00 a month for a private phone number.I just switched over last week to an all in ne service with my internet and TV.Just got the new phonebook yesterday and my phone number is published in the phonebook.What the *!*% have I been paying the $5.00 for? What can I do to the phone company?

    Did you pay to have an unpublished number or an unlisted number, they aren't the same. Call your old company and ask them what's up and will they issue a refund?

    That's what I paid the $5.00 for.It was suppose to be an unlisted or unpublished phone number
