Unsupervised Probation
Ok I was put on unsupervised probation in I think it was August or September 2008, for two years. Yesterday, I was with a few of my friends and they were stealing a bunch of things I ended up walking out with half the stuff they stole but then I was caught and blamed for it... I'm not a snitch so I am going to go ahead a plead guilty but what will that do to me?
Please Answer ASAP I have to go to court today...

First - and you don't want to hear this, I'm sure - your friends were stealing and somehow you "ended up walking out with half the stuff they stole ..."
That's called stealing. The more you try to cover it up, change the wording, take the blame off yourself, the worse it will be for you in Court.
Whether you're a snitch doesn't matter. You were caught stealing. You will undoubtedly be put on supervised probation and told to find a new group of friends.
As far as what else will happen without knowing your age, State or Country, anything else that is pertinent, it's an impossible question to answer.
I wish you luck and I hope you've learned a lesson.

Hello l:
After you complete your sentence for the theft, you'll be violated and might very well have to do some jail time.

Yeah I ended up walking out with the things they stole... I'm 21 and live in Missouri if that helps... I went to court today and she told me that they don't have court dates on mondays... But someone told me that most likely I'll but put on supervised probation and have to do 48 hours in jail... is this logical...

Complete my sentence for the theft? What are you talking about? Like paying a fine for it or doing community service... Because the merchandise that I walked out with was probably $50 in total, and the felony here in Missouri is $500...

Hello again, L:
The theft is your second offense... Yes, it's only a misdemeanor, but misdemeanors are punishable by up to a year in the county jail. I wouldn't be surprised to see a jail sentence on the theft. When that sentence is done, they'll violate you and at the very least, put you on supervised probation.
THAT'S what I'm talking about.

Okay I want to thank you for your information so far... But I also have another question...
I have been told repeatedly two different things, either my probation will be revoked and I will be sentenced to 30 days in the county jail OR considering I'm in college they will extend my probation, MAYBE make it supervised, I will most likely receive a fine, community service and have to do 48 hours in the county jail... Now which one do you think will most likely happen?

Oh and I also forgot to tell you that my first offense was only a misdemeanor too... sorry I keep adding these things on... I still haven't had a court date yet, they told me it was on a certain day and the court was closed on that day, so I have been keeping in touch with them everyday so far...

Okay... here goes... I told everyone what happened n so on n so fourth... I DIDN'T have to spend any time in jail... YAY!! Happy dance... but unfortunately I did get fined for court costs which happened to be $150 dollars and then I want to say maybe two days ago (cuz I don't check my mail often I'm busy) I got a letter in the mail saying that I owe Wal-Mart $250.
SO all n all my repercussions were I had to take a money management class that lasted 4 hours, I completed it, and was fined a total of $400 dollars.
Because of times and how they are I'm not fortunate enough to pay it in full but that is what they are asking through the Wal-Mart letter... I was able to pay the court costs monthly... so yeah there goes...
