Can non-alcoholic beer make you test positive on an ETG test?
I had 1 non-alcoholic beer 96 hours before and 1 non-alcoholic beer 72 hours before an ETG alcohol test. I weigh 122lbs and am 5 ft 3 in good health. I was applying for a new job and wasn't aware that you had to pass an ETG test. I know there isn't much alcohol in these but heard it can be enough to test positive. I do not know what their cutoff levels are but if assuming they are the lowest of 100 would I still pass? I have checked the internet a lot and just seem to find a lot of stupid comments and no one really knows the facts. I'm not generally a drinker so would have been clean before those 2 non-alcoholic beers.

There should be no problem with the test given the time cited. As a comparison, mouthwash contains alcohol in the range of 60%. So let a little of that trickle down your throat and you've gotten far more than from an O'Douls.

100 ng/ml is more or less industry standard... unfortunately... As incidental exposure can result in readings in the 300-800 range.

In direct response to your question, in theory anything that contains alcohol could conceivably trigger a positive. The alcohol content in non-alcoholic beer is less than one half of one percent and EtG production is dose dependent. So it is virtually impossible for any to still be in your system at 72 hrs. I have personally never heard of a positive due to non-alcoholic beer regardless of the time interval.

You should be clean as a whistle from the non-beer. Good luck on your new job.

I don't see any way that you will have ETG in your system from the non-alcoholic beers that you had given the time that you mentioned. You could test positive due to incidental exposure, but I doubt that as well.

I had an EtG of 1055 ng/ml, ets 1002ng/ml, creatine 185.4 mg/dl.. What, typically, rule of thumb, does that mean as far as how much was consumed. It was used by an evaluator to enforce my "need" to do an alcohol program, but I rarely drink. I've heard that levels can test higher in concentrated urine and I drink a lot of coffee and almost no water so my body is typically " very dry".
