    Fundamentalists everywhere are in the same boat. A changing world that they fear and are not willing to adapt to. Their fears are directed at those who want change, no matter where they are. It's messy.

    The only nuance is the region, and the tools. Same fear, losing power, and influence. Same tactic, fear and division. Killing in the name of whatever god entitles them has always been the excuse.
