I'll be along later, cal823! I need to move into where I'll be house and dog sitting for about a couple of weeks.

No country, period? Some of the tunes can be quite good, even though I'm not really a fan of country music in general...

We all grow and learn with the "tastes" that we have. When I was about your age, I used to hate to listen to any kind of violin music. I've now grown to love listening to the violin!

    Later...

I like many 70s light rock songs and 80s power ballads. Some good ones are Jim Croce "New York's Not My Home", "Photographs and Memories", "Operator", Whitesnake "Is this love", Def Leppard "Love Bites", "Two Steps Behind", "Hysteria", Scorpions "Wind of Change" Kiss "Forever" Motley Crue "Home sweet home" Poison "Something to believe in"

Here's a couple vids of the same piece for you, cal823!

I think that the first video is done much better than the second one, although the second one does have some merit.

YouTube - Edward and Bella - River flows in you (twilight)

YouTube - Twilight: Bella's Lullaby (A River Flows In You)

Please let me know what you think of the piece?

    Thanks!

OH! I have one... it is a song from the 70's the bee gee's made big:

    Alone Again Naturally

I cannot listen to that without getting sad and Ok I have had a tear or two from time to time... there is NOTHING uplifting in that song. Funny though.. I never noticed it was such a sad song in the 70's.

I've accompanied "Old Man River" a number of times! The best singer who performed it with me was a black man who is a minister. I hope that he's still around! We had a lot of fun performing a number tunes!

Later and sweet dreams hoped for you! I didn't have a real good night last night and have moved into another home for now. Daughter was supposed to come back here from being about 2.5 hours away. Don't know where she is now. Not to worry, I'm sure that she's okay. Just wish that there would be more communication...

Marta and I love live theater, there are a lot of great theaters in and around Chicago. I have seen The Phantom of the Opera six times over the years each was a bit different and I love the music.

My all time favorite is from the Man from La Mancha and Don Quixote actually this play has personal meaning for me and always has... Don Quixote and his quests are amazing and he has been kind of one of my idols. :)

I first saw this play years ago in Raleigh N. C. in a theater in the round and was sitting three feet from the actor when he sang this... it left a mark on me. This particular version is not performed by the actor that I saw but is excellent.
