I don't think their is a limit, Placing 1 chip on each numbers is odds against you, If I remember, their are 36 numbers and 0 and 00. A total of 38 numbers, but I think the odds were 36 to 1. You would spend $38 to win $36, not a good bet.
I used to do like Red and odd, red and even or any combination plus a couple of numbers, groups of numbers.
