    "@" Key on my Laptop
    My @ key and my " key are mixed up onmy Compaq N400c & on my external keyboard running XP Professional. Does anybody know why or nif there is a fix?

    You need to make sure you keyboard is mapped for the correct location.
    In this case change it from America to UK.
    Start > Control Panel > Keyboards and mice > make sure ALL locations are set to UK.
