Wiring schematic for old Lowe's lawn mower
I am rebuilding an old Lowe's riding lawn mower that is approximately sixteen years old. I need to find a wiring schematic for that type of mower. Also, I have removed the mower deck so it can be used as a utility tractor and found there are a few safety switches that need to be bypassed. I have tried, in vain, to find replacement parts for the safety switches. I have installed a new battery, new solenoid, and a new starter. The gas tank was removed and cleaned out, as well as the gas line. A new gas filter was installed. The motor will still not turn over. It is not locked up because I can pull the recoil starter rope and the motor turns freely. The problem has to be in the electrical system. Can anyone help me find the schematics I need? Thanks.

Chances are one of those old safety switches is shorting out your engine. Try to trace some of them back to one wire that grounds to the engine, disconnect that wire and try again. I am assuming that when you crank you are gettting no spark at all, right?
