Adjust the valves, - compression release
How do I adjust the valves?
I was told that I need to release the compression.
Any pictures that show how to get to valves and how to adjust?
The engine compression get to great for the starter.
This is on my TROY-BILT pony riding mower.

I need step by step help.
Step 1, how do I get to the adjustment location.
    What will I see?
What do I turn to adjust the valves?

I have never open a gas engine before, but I have to learn how to fix them.
I got other broken down engine that I need to work on also.

People please help me get started.

Maybe somebody can tell me how to get started, then I can come back for more help.

It looks like you have a single cylinder OHV engine.

    Thank you.
    That was a good video.
I adjust the valves and it started.
Latter it was getting harder to start so I adjusted the valves again.
Maybe I didn't tighten the set screw enough the first time.

    :)
