    Talking Porcupine 80's Cartoon?
Please HELP! I'm driving myself mad trying to remember which cartoon this cartoon character was on. It was a porcupine, who taught himself how to talk. He heard someone say "looks like it's going to be a hot day today", so he started saying this all the time, even if it was storming outside, or snowing. "Looks like it's going to be a hot day...today".
He walked upright, like a man.

    Does ANYONE remember this cartoon??

The Cartoon in question is based on a children's book written by Janwillem van de Wetering. You can look him up on wiki. It wasn’t a series of cartoon, but one of many children’s books adapted for Saturday morning cartoons. It and many other were shown on the "CBS Storybreak" in and around the 80's.

I remember him. He dressed up like a man and started talking to the workers, but that was the only phrase he knew. Something about a fence, the road, and the other animals being stuck or hit by cars... that's all I can remember.

The name of the porcupine was "Hugh Pine"

It was on in the mornings before the kids went to school.
