Is a Junior in high school dating a freshman in high school odd? Or weird?
I mean my motto or what I said was 2 yrs was my max! But I've always gotten older girls if not same age girls. Or I was older by like a couple months. But this freshman in particular stuck out and I took the chance and we have been dating for a month. She will be 15 while I'm still 16 so its not 2 yrs apart. But anyway would you find it pathetic? No one at my school does I mean everyone thinks its cute blah blah blah and stuff. Its just when I tell people I feel ehh but people are always like oh cool. Plus I'm not even a senior! Like I said 2 years was my max and I just never saw myself doing it!I think about this all the time when I'm not with her but when I am I forget! Plus I know the laws and if we date when she's 16 months later ill be 18. And I checked the laws for statutory rape. HERE IN NEVADA THE AGE OF CONSENT IS 16 THEREFORE SHE CAN HAVE SEXUAL CONTACT WITH SOMEONE UP TO 4-5 YEARS OLDER IF ITS CONSENSUAL! So please no comments about rape mainly just is it weird?

    Help with my ex girlfriend!
OK I haven't spoken to my ex in 8+ months due to a bad break up. I thought she was moving and hoping she was out of my life. Turns our she's not so I was like w/e. anyway I started dating this new girl and we have been dating for like a month and you. Then my ex comes back and sends me a message on fb saying hey I'm sorry I regret being mean to you blah blah blah I want to be friends. So I was like OK I was just looking for an apology. And then she starts txting me cause she kept my number so I'm like all right. And she starts asking about me and my girlfriend. I tell her I connect with her really well blah blah blah and so forth! And I ask her if she has dated and she says you but I want to fix something with someone but I doubt I will. I ask whys that and she said cause we went through a lot of drama and haven't spoken in like 8 months. ( I thought OK this sounds like she's talking to me) I ask who the guy was and she said " ill let you know if it works out" and then I ask what school he goes too and she said " no more questions i told you i will let you know" so then she asks me if I like anyone other then my girlfriend and I was like uhh no. and I asked her if she likes anyone and she says you 2 guys. One goes to college and one goes to my school. So I'm like umm all right haha. And since I workout and track starts my girlfriend does track at my school since her school doesn't have one and she goes hey can I workout with you? And I say "idk im not sure if im comfortable with that yet" and she agrees but the next day she happens to be there the same time I go and we end up working out together (btw if you are thinking I'm thinking of getting back together with her IM NOT! This is the girl that put me through hell and I'm seeing someone. My girlfriend doesn't mind us hanging just my girlfriend knows she's going to try to win me back. But my ex is the type of girl that will make it seem like she likes you and then when you dump your girlfriend for her she leaves you with nothing) and now I'm just going crazy over the situation! I'm not sure if I want to even date! I mean I'm only 16! If this is how drama is going to be while I'm in a relationship why do I want to be in one! So please help!

Is it normal to feel like this?
Ok so I'm a Junior in High School now and recently started dating a Freshman girl. We get along great and everything is fine. Then my ex who I dated last year when me and her were both sophomores decided to come back into the picture and apologize for the things she did/said to me and regrets the decisions she made. All I could say was "I understand how you feel and I just wanted and apology". Then she asked if we could be friends. So sure why not? And now just she seems like a totally different person from what I remembered. And lately I feel as if I don't want to date anyone. I feel like breaking it off with my current girlfriend and ignoring my ex and just doing my own thing. I always liked long relationships but I don't want one that is too long if you get what I'm saying. For ex. I want to date someone for awhile to feel what love is and stuff but I don't want to spend my life with that person quite yet! I mean I'm not really regretting asking out my current girlfriend just I think things would be better cause if I did happen to take my ex back it wouldn't matter cause I know my ex wants me back badly! But I don't know I'm not sure what I want right now and just wish I could go hide somewhere and disappear for a few days! I really like my current girlfriend but I don't want to lead my ex on! I tell her I'm dating but she keeps insisting on being close friends. She always texts me and wants to hang out no matter how many times I ignore her calls. I just I don't know what to do and just would you think its normal to feel like this? I have 2 girls who I know care about me one I dated and 2 I am dating! Just I have no idea what to do! My ex it was a 2 week relationship and she kept saying " I didn't know what I wanted cause i thought I was moving but now I'm not so please forgive me" and she keeps telling me she wants to "fix" something with someone but she doesn't think it will workout! I don't know! Like a third of me says give her a chance, the other third says stay with the girl you have now! Your ex is only doing this to get in your head! And the last third says forget about both of them and stay single! Your only 16!

I would say , don't listen what she is saying , move on forward with your current girl friend, she is just so ****ing jelouse , her types don't desereve second chance , she just want to destroy you once again , stay with your current girl friend and man one more thing , deleate all the text message your ex sent you because if your current girl have seen it you are gone , tell her , it's over I'm moving on forward , and I can't be friends with you , she is alone now , don't get too way soft , going back to ex never reaches far man , go and stay with your current girl friend , and don't be around your ex , and it's normal to feel what you are feeling , it's very normal , but don't get twisted , stay with your current girl , start with her new begning , going back to the past ex , it's all end up in bad things.

Right there, you have your answer. Looks like you need some "alone time", by yourself or just with family or friends. You will have plenty of time to date people when you're ready.

Being friends with your ex is a very bad idea if any of you still has feelings. Just tell her you don't want to be friends. Take some time for yourself, without having to care for someone else. You are young, you should be out exploring the world, not deciding if you are going to spend your life with someone.

Listen to that last part of you. When all your doubts are gone and you feel ready, you will meet someone you'll want to be with, no rush. As you said, you're ONLY 16. Enjoy it!

Help I'm so lost! Long but please read.
Okay to all of those who read my previous question about my feelings towards my girlfriend. Well anyway today I was literally going crazy. I was so confused and lost. I liked my girlfriend a lot but for some reason I have been feeling like she was more of a "friend" to me and that's it. Don't ask me why she just did. I didn't want to lead her on in a long relationship where I don't have feelings like she does. I mean I'm only 16 and she was a freshman and 14. I felt one so much older and just felt like a brother figure to her. I didn't want to lose her so I let her go gently. I told her how I truly was feeling and she understood. So we are good friends now I mean we broke up a couple of hours ago and have been talking. And the reason I brought up the age was because to me at that time 2 yrs is a big difference and I felt like she was so young for me and I'm really mature for a 16 yr old guy. People say I act about 18-20 yrs old. She on the other hand acted like a 15-16 yr old. Yes I was happy with her but started to feel like a friend. So now we talk and hug when we see each other but now I'm starting to feel like it was a mistake breaking up with her! I mean it was only a month relationship and I'm not going to say I was in love with her but I did feel close to her. So do you think I'm feeling regret due to we just broke up? And also we were talking about down the road like I was saying stuff like maybe we just need a break and we were not ready to date. Besides we are so young. Yes I like having a long relationship but I also like being single and free just in case something does happen. I want to save serious relationships when I'm in college and what not. But anyway is it normal for me to feeling regretful? I understand sad and upset that it ended but I just didn't feel the same for her even though it was only for a month. Another thing, I think what caused the problem was for the entire relationship maybe two or three days I was actually away from her so I guess you could say I got burned out of being with her and wanted some alone time. And every time I said I can't hang today she whined about it. So you I just felt like we are better friends then we are a couple and if I do date her I would like to wait till she is at least a little older and more mature. But yes sorry this is so long and I am just curious if this feeling is normal and most couples feel like this when they have a breakup like this? (By the way the reason I broke up with her is cause like I said I felt like a friend and my cousin who dated a girl was basically the same person, she was clingy but he started to see her as a friend about a month into it and chose to stay and after a year he couldn't take it and broke up with her and she was devastated. She cried for weeks and stuff. He says he loves her to death but was not in love with her.) so you please just help me

Ya and the thing to my previous one was cause my ex joined in and was apologizing and basically wants me back and every girl I have dated who ever I dated before always wanted me back. And basically I was saying it was getting to the point where I just want to be single forever or till through high school

Would Society think a (high school) junior and a freshman dating is pathetic/weird?
Just curious. I'm not saying sexual just dating and if things (sexual) do happen it won't be for a long time. I'm just curious cause I mean there are freshman dating seniors and what not at my school and the seniors are 18 and the freshman are 14. That's a little weird to me but yeah I don't judge people for who they like! It's just I don't want to get crap from people! My friends don't care and my family doesn't care but just one kid is weird I mean he never dates but he's always looking and only dates girls his age or older. He says "I don't care I will date a 25 yr old but never a younger girl" and he gives me crap for it. I don't know why but he's the only person who I've heard that has giving me crap! But yeah so would you find it pathetic? Also we aren't 2 years apart.

She's not that much younger than you. I don't understand why anyone would have a problem with you two dating.

Leave the haters behind and just have fun dating her. If you like her and she likes you that's all that matters. :)

I'm 18 and my girlfriend is 16. Is/are these laws true?
The age a person can legally consent to sexual activity in the state of Nevada is 16; however, if the adult involved in the sexual act is 21 years of age or older and is a teacher, instructor, professor, administrator, head coach, assistant coach or in certain positions of authority over the minor at an educational institution, it is a crime to have sexual relations with a student under the age of 18. (Unless they are married)

A 16 year old is a "minor" under the laws of the state of Nevada and is under the legal authority of their parent or guardian. There can be other legal risk to adults over the age of 18 who are involved with a minor sexually if the parents pursue legal actions to terminate the relationship.

We have been dating for 2 years and her parents love me. I'm a senior in high school and she is a sophomore and yeah. So if her parents have no intentions of getting rid if me am I like fine to have sex blah blah blah?

    Good catch J.

To the OP. We don't like lies. So what's the truth? Are you 16 or 18 because there's a big difference between the two.

Ok, this is my first answer, so here goes:
This exgirlfriend seems like a bit of a manipulator. She is selfish, and her main concern is making herself feel good. I would honestly advise you to explain that you have no interest in getting back together, and you would apreciate her leaving you alone. From what you told me, this will make her freak out on you. Don't panic! This is the part where you slowly and clearly explain that if it becomes a legal problem, you're not afraid to get a restraining order or whatever. A true psycho won't care, but a selfish, spoiled girl will just go away.
For the second, not really asked question: if you don't want to date, don't. Tell the girl you're with that you just want to be single. If you love her and can't go without, then I guess you do want to date, but like you said, you're 16, worry about all that stuff when you're not dealing with high school!
    Hope that helps, good luck!

Without confirming, those laws sound correct. But we now have an issue with you telling different stories in different threads.

But the bottom line here is NO ONE should be engaging in sexual intercourse unless they are financially, emotionally and physically prepared to have a child. No form of contraception is 100%. So unless you are prepared to be a father, don't.

Sounds like the ex is making you question all of your dating. Don't allow her to do that to you. Also, don't let an ex affect your relationship with the current girlfriend.

If you seriously do not want to get back with her, then you need to end it now and avoid all the drama that you know is coming. It's obvious that she's trying to work herself back in your life, so that's going to cause both you and your new girlfriend both stress.

Just tell her that you've decided that you can't be friends with her and then go no contact.

Yeah I was planning to answer in your other thread when I could gather my thoughts, but this is just confusing.

And to answer the question, if her parents love you then there is no problem. BUT PLEASE think about the complications of a pregnancy.

"No form of contraception is 100%. So unless you are prepared to be a father, don't."

    Junior dating freshman. Sexual Relations?
I'm a junior who is 16 dating a wonderful freshman girl who is 14. The thing is I don't want to have sex with her until later down the road but also I mean until she is older! I don't like the idea of having sex with a 14 year old. Dating yes is fine to me but I don't want to have sex even if I really feel like doing it. I would just feel like a paedophile. Even though I lost my virginity at the age of 14 to a 16 yr old girl and she lost hers at the age of 14 about 7 months ago. So I mean yeah I just don't feel comfortable. There are plenty of guys I know that are seniors that have sex with Freshman and they are praised for "getting some" or a girl I know who is now a junior who is pregnant and was 14 in middle school and lost hers to an 18 yr old! My ex was dating a 21 yr old at 16. I don't know I really just don't want it to come to this point. I mean I don't want to break it off with her and wait because I did earlier like 5 days ago and I regret my decision like I felt like I needed to date someone my age cause I was so worried about that happening. So I hopefully you guys can understand what I'm trying to say and the question I am trying to ask. It's like what do I do if it comes to this point? She will be 15 in say 4 and a half months. Then I will be 16 still for a month. But then I'll turn 17 and be in this same predicament. So please help me out!

Also to all of those who read my post about me being 18 and my girlfriend being 16. I intended to make that like a question about the future and apologize to those who got confused. I am really 16 not 18.
