    I need some performing tips
I love music and take piano and voice lessons. In a couple months I will be performing in a recital. While I have performed in recitals before, I can honestly say I'm not the best performer. I have been battling stage fright my whole life and get really nervous when I have to perform. I am generally a very shy person and would rather stay on the sidelines than be the center of attention. I see famous singers such as Adele and Rihanna perform on TV and it seems so effortless for them. I just wish I wasn't so shy and could perform with as much confidence as them. If anyone has any tips for me on how to overcome my stage fright, I would greatly appreciate it!

My question is how much YOU want to perform in front of people, rather than other people arranging recitals for you just because it's expected by a few.
If you love music, you can happily play and sing away the years, for your own pleasure and satisfaction that you have the skill.

If you really do want to perform, rest assured that many famous singers and others in the music world, and all the arts, suffer from stage fright, some seriously so.
One tip is to play for one person only, someone sitting near the front in a seat you can look towards easily.
But really, the person you are playing/singing for is YOU. WHO CARES what the others think?
Plus, you really do have to like yourself. That's the basis of confidence. If you don't, then all the tips in the world won't help.
This sounds corny, but sit down and write out a list of your good attributes.
