Should I be bonded to run a pet sitter business?
I am starting a small business from my home but also will go into others private homes or out buildings to care for their animals. Is it required to be bonded to do this. I am just starting and haven't even had my first pet sitting job yet. Please let me know what I have to do to protect myself in this business, I just wanted a simple business since I lost my job.

In my opinion, it would make you look better to be bonded, but I don't think that it would be a requirement. It would be best to be asking the city officials where you will be working concerning that. You would definitely need liability insurance though. For that, I would suggest going to an insurance agent who has lots of carriers so that you can get the best policy at the most reasonable price.

I will agree, I see no issue with not having it, but it would be a great advertising issue. And bonds are normally very cheap.
