    Chemical reaction (H2O + CO2 + NaOH --> ?)
    H2O + CO2 + NaOH --> H2CO3 +?
    I can't seem to figure this out and I still need to balance it.
    Can someone help me find the product of this reaction? I'm lost! I'm working on a project about the rate of cellular respiration, and I'm already stuck. Any help is appreciated!
    Thanks so much!
    :)

    This is a simple acid-base rection
    H2O + CO2 + NaOH --> NaHCO3 + H2O
    CO2 is an acid anydrite and NaOH is a base. So reaction gives the salt Na2CO3 and water
    Another posible product is the salt Na2CO3 that is prodused if a 1:2 ratio of CO2 and NaOH is used

    Depends on the amount of NaOH it has originally...
    It can be NaHCO3 or Na2CO3
